The series went off air in 2001, which is longer ago than we’d like to admit. This means that the cast has had about twenty years away from the sandy beach of Los Angeles County. Who’s transferred to soap operas? Who’s gone completely off the grid? And who’s held a Guinness World Record thanks to the show? Keep reading to find out.
Nicole Eggert Then
Nicole Eggert started acting at the tender age of eight. Her first roles were in the film "Rich and Famous" and a voice-acting role as Margaret in "Dennis the Menace in Mayday for Mother". Later, from 1985 to 1986, Eggert played the role of Marci Ferguson, Samantha's friend on "Who’s the Boss?".
This role was followed by a starring role in the series "Charles in Charge", an appearance on "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show", and a few other projects before landing her "Baywatch" role of Summer Quinn in 1992.
Nicole Eggert Today
Eggert's stint on "Baywatch" spanned two seasons which were aired from 1992 to 1994, but she returned for "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding" the show's 2003 spin-off. After spending a long time as Summer Quinn (a name almost too obvious for a lifeguard if you ask us), she guest-starred on "Scott Baio Is 45…and Single" and "Married… With Children".
Eggert has tried her luck in reality TV too. In 2010, she participated in "Celebrity Fit Club", and the "Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff". Her latest endeavor, however, didn't involve screens or cameras. Eggert started an ice cream truck business. The ultimate summer treat! Coincidence? You decide.
Traci Bingham Then
You might know Traci Bingham as Jordan Tate, but her acting career started a few years prior with a few smaller roles. She appeared in several hit shows like "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Beverly Hills, 90210", and "Married…with Children".
She was also seen in the music video for “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in 1991. Bingham was cast into seasons seven and eight of "Baywatch" in 1996 and finally became the star she knew she was going to be.
Traci Bingham Today
In the early 2000s, Bingham went from a "Baywatch" star to a reality star. She participated in shows like "The Surreal Life" and "Celebrity Big Brother", where she shared the spotlight with other celebrities who lost some of their Hollywood glow.
Like Nicole Eggert, Bingham appeared David Hasslehoff's Comedy Central Roast . In 2005, she served as an Empire Poker spokesmodel, which is not surprising, considering the impressive physique she displayed in her memorable red swimsuit. Bingham's latest TV appearances were also on reality shows — "Hell’s Kitchen" and "Battle of the Network Stars" .
David Chokachi Then
Before he came on "Baywatch", no one knew who David Chokachi was. He started pursuing acting as a career only in the mid-90s. Prior to that, he was just a college graduate with a political science degree, and everyone knows that this is not how you make money.
He played the role of Cody Madison — a competitive swimmer who had to reconsider his passion for water due to an irregular heartbeat. Most women who watched him probably felt some irregularities in their own heartbeats, which is why he stayed on the show for three seasons (6-9).
David Chokachi Today
Obviously eye-catching, Chokachi was given a spot in the 1997 list of “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” by People magazine. Chokachi left the show in 1999 and was promptly cast in the TV show "Witchblade" as heartthrob Jake McCarthy until 2002 when the show went off the air.
Chokachi went on to play in various TV movies. Some of them include "Cyber Chase", "Rage of the Yeti", and "Patient Killer". Much like other stars on this list, Chokakachi has also dipped his toes in the pool of reality TV. He took part in "Confessions of a Teen Idol" with his former "Baywatch" castmate, Jeremy Jackson.
Parker Stevenson Then
Parker Stevenson's first acting credit goes to his portrayal of Gene in the film "A Separate Peace" (1972). Not long after that, Stevenson played with Sam Elliot in the film "Lifeguard", which first showed the world the man's beach potential.
In the late 1970s, Stevenson also appeared in the show"The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" on ABC. Other memorable roles he's had in his pre "Baywatch" era were in "North and South: Book II" and "Probe". In 1989, he became one of the first original cast members of "Baywatch".
Parker Stevenson Today
After "Baywatch", Parker went on to star in "Melrose Place" and the TV movie "Legion" (1998). His acting career kept growing with him getting roles in both film and TV. Some of his latest film credits include "Perfect Disguise", "Not of This Earth", "Hidden Truth", and "The War Riders".
In TV, you may have seen recently seen him in shows such as "Judging Amy", "Trapped", "Burke’s Law", and "Bull". Stevenson has also been passionate about photography from a very young age and you can see his work in the field on his website, parkerstevensonshadowworks.com.
Nancy Valen Then
Nancy Valen's acting career could have gone in a whole different direction. Before moving to LA, Valen was living in New York and dreaming about acting on the theater stage, rather than in front of a camera. At some point, Valen was casted into "Ryan's Hope", a soap opera which was filmed in the city. After two years on the show, she moved to LA.
The first big film she was in was "Porky’s Revenge" (1985). Other memorable credits of hers are "The Heavenly Kid", "Listen to Me", and "Loverboy". She was cast as Samantha Thomas on "Baywatch" in 1996 for seasons six and seven.
Nancy Valen Today
Before walking a mile in Samantha's swimsuit, Nancy Valen was actually featured as a guest in one episode from 1989. Valen has many credits to her name, some of which in hit shows the likes of "Friends", "Boy Meets World", "Saved by the Bell", and "Full House".
Still, her 22-episode-long stint on "Baywatch" is definitely the highlight of her career. Her main focus these days is more behind the scenes as a producer.
David Charvet Then
David Charvet's face would be familiar to you even if you haven't watched a single episode of "Baywatch" in your life (in which case, what are you doing here?). Born in France, Charvets's many talents include not only acting but also singing and modeling.
Before playing the role of Matt Brody in 1992, Charvet was nurturing his successful singing career in France. He branched out internationally in the early 90s when he won a green card lottery. Thanks to that green card, he became famous worldwide.
David Charvet Today
In 1995, after three seasons on "Baywatch", Charvet left the show and started acting in other projects. He spent the rest of the 90s acting in "Melrose Place", "Derby", "Seduced and Betrayed", "Angel Flight Down", and more, and then decided he wanted to go back to his musical roots.
Charvet went back to France, signed a contract with Universal Music Group France for five albums, and this time, his music went global.
Brooke Burns Then
When Brooke Burns started acting it was on "Out of the Blue", a teen sitcom from 1995. She was a series regular, playing the role of Peg, but it didn't really make her a star. What did make her a star eventually was her performance on "Baywatch". She was cast on the show in 1998.
Her "Baywatch" role was that of Jesse Owens, who started out as a cleaner and officially turned into a lifeguard in the ninth season.
Brooke Burns Today
Burns didn't stay away for too long and came back to do 46 episodes of the spinoff show "Baywatch: Hawaii". Her next gig was hosting the game show "Dog Eat Dog" on NBC. Burns hosted the show from 2002 until 2003 and was highly praised for her hosting skills.
After having her fill as a host, Burns went back to acting. She starred in "North Shore", a prime-time soap opera, and appeared on "Melrose Place", "Community", and "CSI: Miami".
Pamela Anderson Then
Pamela Anderson's first steps in the spotlight were done as a spokesmodel for Labatt’s Beer. She was spotted wearing the brand's T-shirt and promptly recruited by the brewing company. Anderson's modeling career really took off after her appearance on the cover of Playboy in 1989.
Anderson then moved to LA and found herself on television. First, on "Home Improvement" as Lisa, and after two seasons, she left the show and got cast to play C.J. Parker on "Baywatch".
Pamela Anderson Today
Anderson's "Baywatch" stint spanned five seasons, making C.J. Parker one of the most famous characters on the show. She even reprised her role in "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding" in 2003 and in a commercial campaign in 2007.
Anderson has also appeared in many films after her "Baywatch" days. She was also cast in reality shows such as "Dancing with the Stars", "Dancing on Ice", and "Big Brother". She has also put her fame into good use as a human and animal rights activist.
Erika Eleniak Then
When Erika Eleniak was 19, she appeared in a Playboy magazine, but she didn't delay on modeling and used that recognition to transition into television. She played Stephanie Curtis, Charles's girlfriend in "Charles in Charge" before coming on "Baywatch" later that year.
Eleniak was cast as Shauni McClain, a "Baywatch" female lead. She played the role for the first two seasons of the show and left at the beginning of season three.
Erika Eleniak Today
"Baywatch" was a great springboard for Eleniak's acting career. She went on to participate in dozens of other acting projects. You may remember seeing her in "Dracula 3000", "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", "Absolute Zero", or "Desperate Housewives".
Today, Eleniak still acts wherever she can in television and movies. She will also play the role of Marylin Monroe in the upcoming feature "Marilyn Monroe Back?". She currently lives in Calgary with Roch Daigle, her partner and the father of her daughter Indyanna.
David Hasselhoff Then
“The Hoff,” one of the most famous people to have been on the show, became one of the most recognized people in the world. Given that the show was broadcast in 140 countries to a total of billion viewers, David Hasselhoff actually held the Guinness World Record for the most-watched man on television!
He started his acting career playing Dr. “Snapper” Foster on "The Young and the Restless" for a total of seven years. He was also able to show off his vocal cords in the space opera Starcrash (1978). His first claim to fame, however, was when he played Michael Knight in NBC's hit series "Knight Rider".
David Hasselhoff Today
While the Hoff has had many iconic roles over the years of his career, Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch" is definitely the most famous one. IT probably has something to do with the fact that he played it throughout the duration of the entire show. That is 11 years and 219 episodes (not including the first season of "Baywatch: Hawaii").
Hasselhoff's great ability to laugh at himself has brought on a number of on-screen appearances that involved him parodying himself. Two of the most memorable ones are on "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story", and "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie". He even went to greater lengths with hosting the 2010 "Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff" — a show that involved his friends and castmates gathering to tell jokes about him. What a trooper!
Brande Roderick Then
Before coming on "Baywatch", Roderick modeled a little and her acting credits included small roles that may have paid a bill or two but didn't make her famous. 2000 was a big year for Roderick. That was the year she joined "Baywatch" as Leigh Dryer and appeared in Playboy Magazine for the first time.
Her "Baywatch" stint was only for the final season, but fans liked her a lot, and so she came back for "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding", the spinoff movie.
Brande Roderick Today
As it turns out, Roderick has a competitive side that didn't come out during her time on "Baywatch". After the show, she joined the USA Rock Paper Scissors League as an RPS Girl (it's a real thing. Trust us.)
But that doesn't conclude the competitions she's been on. There is also the CBS 2006 "Gameshow Marathon", two seasons of "Celebrity Apprentice", and the hosting of the Aces & Angels Super Bowl XLVI Party. Roderick divorced former NFL linebacker Glenn Cadrez in 2017. The two have a child together.
Billy Warlock Then
With a stuntman for a father, you can say that Billy Warlock grew up on film sets. He was interested in acting from a young age and managed to score some Hollywood gigs fresh out of high school. Thanks to his dad, Warlock got a job as a stuntman on one episode of "Mork & Mindy".
This job is what made producer Garry Marshall notice him and cast him into "Happy Days". Other acting roles soon followed, and Warlock was seen on TV shows such as "21 Jump Street", "ABC Afterschool Special", and "Days of Our Lives". Before joining "Baywatch" as Eddie Kramer
Billy Warlock Today
Billy Warlock was cast as Eddie Kramer on "Baywatch" in 1989 and stayed on the show for three seasons (not including the film "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding" from 2003). Warlock was briefly engaged to his "Baywatch" castmate Erika Eleniak, but the two broke up shortly after.
After "Baywatch", Warlock went on to have a prolific career as a soap opera actor, with roles in "General Hospital", "Days of Our Lives", "The Young and the Restless", "One Life to Live", and "As the World Turns". So basically, any soap known to man from the past two decades.
Jaason Simmons Then
With the look of a classic Australian surfer dude, it would be hard to imagine Jaason Simmons doing anything that's not beach-related, which is how the first years of his career really looked. When he was 23, Simmons started acting on the Australian show "Paradise Beach". He was cast as Logan Fowler on "Baywatch" the following year.
Much like Tasmania-Born Simmons, his character was also from Tasmania. Fowler’s character was known to have a big ego, which often resulted in him arguing with his fellow-lifeguards and managers.
Jaason Simmons Today
After leaving "Baywatch" in 1997, Simmons moved London and went on to appear in theater and in independent films. He was seen acting in movies like "The Devil’s Tattoo", "Bloody Mary", "Frankenstein & the Werewolf Reborn!", "Mad Cowgirl", and more.
Simmons came out of the closet in 2008. He is in a relationship with Irish actor John O'Callaghan, and the two were featured in New Idea Magazine's March issue of the same year.
José Solano Then
Unlike many actors, Jose Solano wasn't intent on becoming an actor as a kid. He joined the Navy after graduating high school and landed on "Baywatch" only a few years later at the age of 25. He played the role of Manny Gutierrez and made history as the first Hispanic regular on the show.
Gutierrez was one of the youngest characters on the lifeguard team, but by no means less professional. Mitch Buchannon saw the strength and potential in him, and Gutierrez did not let him down.
José Solano Today
Gutierrez suffered a life-threatening injury, which left him wheelchair-bound throughout a substantial part of his screen time. Solano left the show in 1999 and started splitting his time between acting and production managing.
Since leaving "Baywatch", Solano has been more involved in Spanish-speaking productions, mainly telenovelas, such as "Amor en custodia" and "Miranda de mujer: en regreso".
Marliece Andrada Then
Marliece Andrada moved to LA after graduating from college to pursue an acting career. But acting didn't come right away. She started out as a "Raiderette" — a cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders — in 1995. After doing that for one season, Andrada got her first acting job on the HBO show "Arli$$".
She initially cast as an extra on the show, but quickly leveled up to a speaking part. She got her big break when she joined season 8 of "Baywatch".
Marliece Andrada Today
Andrada's character, Skylar Bergman, appeared on season 8 for a few episodes but that was all she needed to become recognized. In 1998, Andrada appeared on Playboy Magazine as Playmate of the Month in the March issue.
Andrada didn't keep pursuing acting after "Baywatch". In fact, her only acting gigs after the show are a voice-over part in a video game titled "Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko", and an uncredited role in the film "Love Stinks".
Shawn Weatherly Then
Prior to getting cast as Jill Riley on "Baywatch", Shawn Weatherly was a successful pageant girl. She took home the crown and sash as Miss USA and Miss Universe in 1980.
When Weatherly started acting, it was in 1983, when she came on "The Dukes of Hazzard" as Billie Ann Baxley. 1983 was a big year for Weatherly — that was also when she got roles on the shows "Happy Days" and "The A-Team". Shawn Weatherly is also famous thanks to her role as Karen Adams, the cadet in the comedy "Police Academy 3: Back in Training" (1986).
Shawn Weatherly Today
Shawn Weatherly was on "Baywatch" for one season. Her character, Jill Riley, was a seasoned lifeguard who was tragically attacked by a shark and subsequently died from that fatal injury.
Weatherly married to Chip Harris, a biotech mogul, and they have two children together. Her post-"Baywatch" acting jobs were pretty small. They included a guest appearance in "Chicago Hope", and a horror-comedy titled "Love in the Time of Monsters", among others.
Mitzi Kapture Then
Unlike many of the actors on this list, "Baywatch" was not the breakthrough role for Mitzi Kapture. She came on the show with a track record that includes small appearances as well as a 101 episode-long stint as Sgt. Rita Lee Lance in the crime drama "Silk Stalkings".
She has also appeared in TV movies such as "Perfect Crime" and "His Bodyguard" prior to strutting her stuff on the beach in a red swimsuit. Kapture was cast in "Baywatch" in 1998 as Alex Ryker, and she stayed on the show for one season.
Mitzi Kapture Today
Kapture didn't go completely off the grid after her "Baywatch" run. She kept acting in smaller projects and even had a regular role on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless". She played a character named Anita Hodges for three years.
In 2006, Kapture appeared in a television film called "Night of Terror". Two years after that, she participated in an independent film called "God’s Ears", which was critically acclaimed. Her most recent role was that of Gina in the TV series "Rules of Engagement" in 2010.
Jeremy Jackson Then
When Jeremy Jackson came on the set of "Baywatch" it was to play Hobie Buchannon, Mitch's son, and a later love interest for Summer Quinn. Jackson ran on those sandy beaches from season two to season nine, bonding with his on-screen dad.
David Hasselhoff is the one who introduced Jeremy Jackson to the music industry and even brought him on his European tour in 1993. Jackson ended up signing with Edel Records, releasing six singles and two albums. Jackson, unfortunately, had to leave the show due to substance abuse issues.
Jeremy Jackson Today
After leaving the show, Jackson appeared in many talk shows and reality shows, mostly to talk about and address his substance abuse issues. In 2011, for example, Jackson took part in "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew", where he publicly admitted his issues and recovered from them.
Jackson's past is unfortunately ridden with scandals, which he has to pay the price for. However, he didn't stop acting altogether. He was most recently seen in a video short called "Mina Tobias: Shoes".
Donna D’Errico Then
Donna D'Errico has always been glamorous, even before her "Baywatch" days. She used to run a limousine company in Las Vegas prior to appearing in Playboy magazine as the September issue centerfold in 1995.
After her Playboy appearance, D'Errico was finally cast as Donna Marco on "Baywatch" and became a household name.
Donna D’Errico Today
After spending two seasons on "Baywatch", D’Errico moved on to other projects. She hosted "Battlebots" and starred in different films such as "Candyman: Day of the Dead" (1999), "Intervention" (2007), "Inconceivable" (2008), and "The Making of Plus One" (2010).
Other than acting, D’Errico also ran her own Zen Spa in California. D’Errico has openly spoken about her newfound spirituality as a Catholic and even taken part in an expedition aiming to find some remains Noah's Ark.
Krista Allen Then
There once was a time when Krista Allen thought of becoming a teacher. She even has an education degree from the Unversity of Texas. But before committing to a life as a teacher, she thought she would try her hand in acting, and moved to California to see if it works out.
Apparently, that was the right call for her. Allen began getting acting jobs, starting with a lead role in "Emmanuelle in Space" which was followed by a four-year stint on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives". She was cast on "Baywatch" as Jenna Avid in 2000.
Krista Allen Today
Allen spent a year on the "Baywatch" set but has since been involved in many other productions. She has appeared in "Friends", "Charmed", "Smallville", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", and of course "Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race".
Allen kept nurturing her acting career with different roles. The most recent of those is Dr. Adams in the crime thriller "Psychos & Socios".
Gena Lee Nolin Then
Before pretending to save people from drowning, Gena Lee Nolin graced the screen on "The Price Is Right" as one of the beauties at Bob Barker's side in 1994. Shortly after that, Nolin was cast as Sandy the model on "The Young and the Restless".
Nolin was cast as Neely Capshaw on "Baywatch" in 1995. She was on the show for three seasons (6-8) before trying on other roles.
Gena Lee Nolin Today
Nolin left "Baywatch" in 1998, and came back to the screen two years after that with the starring role in the TV series "Sheena". The show ran for two years, during which Nolin played a woman who was raised in the jungle and wore very little clothes.
Nolin has been known to pose in various men's magazines, like in a Christmas edition of "Playboy" magazine, and features in "Stuff", "Maxim" and "FHM". She has also written a book called "Beautiful Inside and Out, Conquering Thyroid Disease with a Healthy, Happy, “Thyroid Sexy” Life".
Kelly Packard Then
It has become almost impossible to picture Kelly Packard wearing anything but her red swimsuit. But she has had various other roles before becoming a series regular on "Baywatch". Parallel to her time on the show, she also played the bass guitar and played the role of Tiffani on "California Dreams".
You may have also seen her playing a slew of other roles in film or episodes of TV shows such as "Living Dolls", "Blossom", and "The Wonder Years". Interestingly enough, she wasn't immediately cast as a "Baywatch" regular. She started out playing a few small roles as an extra and became a regular as April Giminski in 1997.
Kelly Packard Today
Packard has stayed true to her "Baywatch" roots and participated in "Baywatch: White Thunder at Glacier Bay", a sequel film that was released straight to video in 1998. Another notable performance given by Packard was on "Ripley's Believe It or Not!", where she co-presented some bizarre phenomenons from around the world for two seasons.
Packard also appeared in a few episodes of "The Wild Thornberrys", "Boy Meets World", and "Better Things".
Jason Momoa Then
Before getting cast as Jason Ioane on "Baywatch: Hawaii", Jason Momoa was a mere teenager working as a salesman in a Hawaiian surf shop. His first steps in the spotlight were done as a model.
About a year after that, he was already holding the title of "Hawaii’s Model of the Year" and about to host the Miss Teen Hawaii pageant. He came to the Baywatch franchise in 1999.
Jason Momoa Today
Later on in his career, Momoa and his chiseled abs were featured in films such as "North Shore", "Stargate: Atlantis", and "Johnson Family Vacation". Momoa rose to global fame in 2011 when he was cast as Khal Drogo in "Game of Thrones".
It is said that in order get the role, Momoa performed a Haka as an audition. A Haka is a Maori tribal dance, traditionally performed during religious events and before going to war. His latest big role was that of Aquaman in 2018. He will reportedly reprise the role in a sequel slated to be released in 2022.
Carmen Electra Then
Carmen Electra has had her eye set on the spotlight from the start. She started out as a dancer and singer before focusing on acting and began gathering small TV appearances in the mid-90s.
She was featured in Playboy in 1996, which gave her the boost she needed to eventually make it to "Baywatch" as lifeguard Lani McKenzie.
Carmen Electra Today
Electra has made several more appearances in Playboy magazine after being cast on "Baywatch". Three of those appearances were on the front cover. She kept acting in films ("Good Burger", "American Vampire, "Dragula", and "Book of Fire") and add more to her resume as a model.
Some of here modeling campaigns include London Night Studios comic books, Maxim Men’s Hair Dye, and Ritz Camera Centers.
Angelica Bridges Then
When Angelica Bridges was cast as Taylor Walsh on "Baywatch" in 1997, she had very few acting credits in her name. She has had a small role in "Days of Our Lives" in 1995 and a few smaller appearances in TV shows such as "Mike Hammer: Private Eye" and "Suddenly Susan".
When talking about her first experience of shooting her performing CPR on Michael Bergin, she said that she was working hard on making the scene believable and remembering what she was taught about CPR, to which the actor responded by kissing her.
Angelica Bridges Today
Since her "Baywatch" days, Angelica Bridges has branched out to other areas of showbusiness. She was involved in acting projects such as "Mortal Kombat Conquest", and had a small role on "The Bold and the Beautiful".
She even came on "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding", the sequel film in 2003. Other than acting, Bridges is also a musician and sings the lead in a pop band named Strawberry Blonde.
Alexandra Paul Then
Before acting, Alexandra Paul was busy being a model. She started acting with small parts in the TV movie "Paper Dolls" (1982). This role was soon followed by a role in the horror movie "American Nightmare" (1983).
Paul has slowly started getting parts that were more meaningful, including roles in the movies "American Flyers", "Dragnet", and "8 Million Ways to Die". She soon landed the role of Lt. Stephanie Holden on "Baywatch" in 1992.
Alexandra Paul Today
Paul spent five years on the set of "Baywatch", parallel to which she starred in other productions, like "Death Train", "The Paperboy", "Nightwatch", and "Spectre" (1993-1996, respectively).
Paul appeared for a brief stint as Terry O'Brien in a few episodes of "Melrose Place", and made a guest appearance in "Mad Men". With a great sense of humor, Paul also parodied her "Baywatch" role in a cameo she had in one of the deleted scenes in the movie "Borat". If only that scene would have made it to the final cut!
Many More Cameos
Baywatch spent its nine seasons launching the careers of a bunch of many other swimsuit-clad babes, from Sofia Vergara to David Spade. However, we may not remember them as they only featured in one or two episodes.
So which actors boast a Baywatch credit on their resume? Here are more stars you probably didn't know who made a cameo on "Baywatch".
Michael Newman Then
Michael Newman was originally hired on Baywatch as a consultant, and he was the only real lifeguard to ever feature on Baywatch.
Michael played a character with his name and began making appearances on Baywatch in 1989, before finally becoming a series regular in 1996.
Michael Newman Today
Michael Newman didn't act again after Baywatch ended, but what he brought to the show was much-needed authenticity. Michael based many of the real rescues he had as a professional lifeguard to make the show's rescues look as realistic as possible. After left Hollywood behind, Newman resides in the Pacific Palisades with his family, where he currently sells real estate.
Sadly, Michael Newman was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2011 after seeking medical advice concerning a tremor in his hand.
Gregory Alan Williams Then
Gregory Alan Williams played the LAPD's Garner Ellerbee on the show for almost a decade with a few gaps, including one where he appeared as the same character in the spin-off Baywatch Nights.
Since Baywatch, Gregory Williams has been incredibly prolific, having continued to act tirelessly on big and small screens.
Gregory Alan Williams Today
Gregory Williams shows no signs of slowing down, having recently moved into producing and directing. To name just a few from his post-Baywatch appearances, Williams has been on "The Sopranos," "The West Wing," and "Monk." On the big screen, Gregory Williams also appeared in "Brightburn," "Geostorm," "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," and "The Accountant."
Williams has also got a side-gig in writing books, so far he has published four, including "A Gathering of Heroes: Reflections on Rage and Responsibility: A Memoir of the Los Angeles Riots."
Stacy Kamano Then
A beauty pageant-winning model and actress, she was born and grew up in Honolulu, and back in 1999, Stacy Kamano was ideal for joining Baywatch: Hawaii. After the show's cancellation in 2001, Kamano played Kekoa Tanaka for Baywatch's two final seasons.
Joining the show simultaneously as Jason Momoa, Kamano didn't experience the same success, and she has largely disappeared from screens since Baywatch.
Stacy Kamano Today
After 2003's, "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding", Stacy Kamano has only appeared on-screen four times, with her last appearance on TV being in "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2007. These days, we don't have enough information to be found about what Kamano is up to.
According to her bio, Kamano "enjoys surfing, body boarding, tennis, swimming, rollerblading and water-skiing," and now "spends every spare moment with her Maltese dog, Brando."
Kelly Slater Then
Kelly Slater was a competitive pro surfer and played Jimmy Slade for 27 episodes, from 1992 to 1996. Even though Baywatch introduced him to a TV audience, Slater has remained true to his original love: surfing.
When asked why he left Baywatch, he stated: “I know there were a lot of people calling me a sell-out and that was totally understandable because it was commercializing what surf culture was for a character."
Kelly Slater Today
Kelly Slater has held the title of men's World Champion surfer on eleven different occasions, which is astounding! Kelly Slater is such a legend in the surfing world that he even had a video game built around his brand called 'Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer.'
In the past, Slater has dated several high-profile women, including Pamela Anderson, Cameron Diaz, and Gisele Bundchen. Slater is currently dating fellow pro surfer Kalani Miller. Kelly has one daughter from a previous relationship.
Michael Bergin Then
Michael Bergin is probably best known for his role as "Jack 'J.D.' Darius" on "Baywatch." Before he appeared on Baywatch, he walked the runways of New York, Paris, and Milan for Sonia Rykiel, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Gianfranco Ferre, Yves Saint Laurent, and Donna Karen.
He was also the exclusive model for Claiborne for Men for over three years. He also appeared in commercials and print advertisements for Kellogg's, Bacardi Rum, L'Oreal, Maybelline, Coty, Valentino, Perry Ellis, and Liz Claiborne.
Michael Bergin Today
Also, Michael has completed correspondent work for E! Entertainment Television, Entertainment Tonight, and VH1. After his 'Baywatch' days, Bergin went on to appear in several other TV shows. Bergin appeared on episodes of "Charmed" and "CSI: Miami," and had a recurring role on NBC's "Passions."
He also appeared on VH1's "Celebrity Paranormal Project" in 2016. In the early 1990s, Michael began dating Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, a Calvin Klein publicist but eventually they broke-up.
Sofia Vergara Then
Sofia Vergara made a brief appearance as herself on "Baywatch" In 1999. Vergara starred in a preposterously obvious bit of product placement in one episode set in a gymnasium.
She played a sports instructor who represented Bally Total Fitness, and although her cameo was only very short, she did manage to get in lots of advertising for the company.
Sofia Vergara Today
Thanks to her award-winning role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the smash-hit comedy series Modern Family, Sofia Vergara is now a household name.
Funnily enough, in real life, Vergara was a representative for Bally Sports. Nice and subtle there, Baywatch! In early 2020, it was announced that Sofia Vergara would be a judge on "America's Got Talent," in its fifteenth season.
