In books and movies, we are pretty used to characters having catchphrases. In real life — not so much. But being as charismatic as he is, Matthew McConaughey can do many things that us common folk can’t.

One thing that instantly makes a man look more attractive is uniform. Jimmy Stewart didn’t need the help of his military officer uniform to get attention from ladies, but we’re sure it didn’t hurt.

Also, an impressive acting career that includes 80 films in 55 years is something reserved for people like Stewart, who are easy on the eyes.

As one of the prettiest faces of the 1980s, Tom Cruise’s career kicked into high gear after filming The Outsiders and Taps. Mr. Cruise is one of the highest-paid actors ever.

We don’t even care that Tom Cruise is involved in Scientology advocacy as long as we keep seeing him on our screens, preferably performing one of his daredevil stunts.

Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom became a household name after he played the elf Legolas in the Lord of the Rings franchise. When playing that character, Bloom was sporting a stunning blonde wig befitting the legendary creature he portrayed.

In the different roles he played after, as well as in his personal life, Bloom sports a lovely brunette mane and a stubble befitting his beautiful face.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds began his acting career in Hillside, a teen soap opera, he then went on to star in comedies, romantic comedies, action films, and even superhero films.

With two superhero characters on his record (Green Lantern and Deadpool), a unique sense of humor (just ask Hugh Jackman), and a killer bod, we can totally see what his bombshell wife Blake Lively sees in him.

Legendary "James Bond" actor Sean Connery has starred alongside some real beauties. And when we say beauties we mean both Bond girls as well as a fleet of impressive vehicles.

This Scot’s appeal did not go unnoticed — he was voted as the sexiest man alive by People magazine in 1989, and ten years later he was voted as the sexiest man of the century. Even after his unfortunate death in 2020, he is still fondly remembered as one of the best.

Sidney Poitier is a history maker. He made history in 1964 when he became the first black actor to get an academy award for Best Actor for his role in Lilies of the Field.

Poitier has worked hard to get to where he is. His life included extreme poverty and homelessness but he pushed through and became a total icon.

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is best known for his role as Dr. “McDreamy” Shepherd on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. He has since made his way into the McDreams of many.

His most recent film was Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016) but he hasn’t been acting in the last few years as he is more focused on a professional racing career. We wouldn’t mind sitting shotgun.

Jerry Lewis

Jerry was a comedian, but not just any comedian. He incorporated comedy in everything he did, from acting to singing, which established his status as the king of comedy.

Other than comedy, Lewis was also an avid philanthropist who raised billions of dollars for muscular dystrophy research. Nothing is more attractive than kindness.

Charlie Hunnam

Sons of Anarchy wasn't exactly the best show out there, but it did give us Charlie Hunnam, and for that we are eternally grateful.

His character in the show may have been a tad intimidating but we can tell by looking in his eyes that he is nothing like that in person.

Denzel Washington’s one-on-one performance playing hoops in the 1998 film He Got Game is sheer talent, no acting necessary.

Washington is incredibly athletic, and performs his own stunts. His great physique was best displayed when he played the role of boxer Rubin “Hurricane” Carter in The Hurricane.

John Stamos

John Stamos can have as many roles as he wants in film and TV, but for some of us he will always be Uncle Jesse from Full House.

Stamos is also quite the musician and he even performed with The Beach Boys occasionally. As if he needed the rock star label to make him even hotter.

Tyson Beckford

Channing Tatum knows how to use that incredible body of his. We saw it when he played the role of Tyler Gage in the movie Step Up, and we got an even better taste of it in Magic Mike.

Other than that, he knows how to make us laugh, as we saw in 21 Jump Street and other comedies he’s done. So yeah, we guess we wouldn’t mind having dinner with him if he asked really nice.

Despite getting acting roles as a child, Gyllenhaal went on to attend Columbia University and got his degree. Later on, he received acclaim in October Sky, playing Homer Hickam. Which is only one of his many accolades.

Plus growing up with sisters makes for sensitive men, and his sister, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal would be happy to tell you that herself.

Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm, also known as the sexy yet somewhat abusive Mad-Men star, Don Draper, is surprisingly single.

Hunky Hamm is also a talented actor and producer, which makes the fact that he’s single even more surprising. Has no one had what it takes to make him settle down? C’mon ladies, just reel him in!

Harry Belafonte

Best known for singing “The Banana Boat Song” Belafonte wass a diverse musical artist, venturing into blues, folk, gospel, show tunes, and American standards.

He also had a brief acting career, with roles in the musical Carmen Jones as well as in Island in the Sun. Other than being a wonderful singer, Belafonte was a keen social rights activist, and was, in fact, one of Martin Luther King Jr.’s close friends.

A collective sigh released when Princess Leia finally broke the romantic tension by kissing him in The Empire Strikes Back.

Henry Golding’s face is one that stands out. Not only because of his perfect bone structure, but because you don’t see a lot of Malaysians acting in Hollywood.

If we are to judge by Golding and his appearance in The Gentleman or Crazy Rich Asians, Malaysia is about to jump to the top of our bucket list.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice wasn’t a great movie but it did have some highlights. There was Wonder Woman’s first appearance and there was Henry Cavill playing Superman.

Ah, Henry Cavill, there isn’t enough screen time in the world to do justice to all those muscles and perfect skin and smoldering gaze and… what were we talking about?

Zac Efron

When Zac Efron came dancing into our lives as Troy Bolton in High School Musical, he portrayed a high school basketball player, which would be a little surprising considering he’s not that tall.

You were probably too distracted by Zac's good looks and ginormous muscles to realize he's only 5'8". But we don’t care. We will take him as he is. We’re kind like that.

Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood came to prominence as a vigilante justice enforcer playing roles like Dirty Harry and the good guy with no name in The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

We're pretty sure naming your son Pierce would result in him having piercing blue eyes. Just look at Pierce Brosnan and you'll see why.

This fine gentleman playing James Bond is an ideal pair. You know what else is an ideal pair? Pierce Brosnan and a romantic dinner. Just saying.

This guy may seem a little intimidating thanks to his role as a serial killer in the film No Country for Old Men, but his stunning self is actually really sweet.

He went on to become even more magical when he played Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. It's almost as if magic follows him around.

His success in both professions is because of his IQ level of 160, and success comes naturally to people with that level of intelligence.
