When Hollywood couples prove that love doesn’t care about the place you were born, your ethnic background, or the amount of melanin, it creates a ripple effect. That ripple is us publishing two articles about it and you asking for a third one. Obviously, we are happy to oblige and do our part.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes
This happy couple met filming “Place Beyond the Pines.” That was in 2011. Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are not the types to share their private lives with everyone. They have daughters, but we’ve seen no pictures of them. Gosling doesn’t even use Instagram or any social media account. All in all, they've done a pretty impressive job of keeping their family out of the public eye.
When he does give an interview, though, he gushes over Eva. He said that he knows that he is with the person he is supposed to be with. The only criteria he is searching for is that “she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
Vincent Cassel and Tina Kunakey
Actor Vincent Cassel is married for the second time, but he is absolutely gaga over his bride. The “Black Swan” actor met his princess in Biarritz, France. His wife, Tina Kunakey, is a gorgeous French model. They married in 2018 in a coastal village in the south of France at the city hall in Bidart, France.
Announcing the wedding plans, Cassel told The New York Times that he was a 52-year-old man marrying a 21-year-old woman and that they were very much in love. It's a little uncomfortable for a lot of people, and with a 31-year age gap no one cares about race at this point, but the couple seems happy, so that's all that matters.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra is Nick Jonas’s forever love. He says that with Priyanka, he feels that magical connection you’ve got with somebody when it’s right. He says that the two of them feel very lucky. The couple's love was celebrated by two wedding ceremonies — a traditional Indian one and a conventional Western one. Both, as you can imagine, were star-studded affairs and the couple pulled out all the stops.
Celebrating their wedding anniversary, Jonas posted to Instagram, along with a bridal photo of the two at the altar. They tied the knot in 2018 and have since started a beautiful family of their own.
Bret Hart and Stephanie Washington
Canadian-American professional wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart is hoping the third time's the charm when it comes to romance. Hart met Stephanie Washington at a party hosted by a mutual friend. There, the two hit it off, despite the fact that Stephanie is a full 27 years younger than him. Ultimately, that didn't stop them from walking down the aisle in 2010.
Bret and Stephanie had some time before they beat his first marriage with Julie Smadu, which lasted a full twenty years. Julie is the mother of Bret's four children. Bret is one of the greatest ever to enter the squared circle, and his marriage records are almost as legendary.
Cody and Brandi Rhodes
Brandi Rhodes is perhaps better known to wrestling fans as Eden Stiles. When this figure skater-turned-diva went in to interview Cody Rhodes, the son of legendary wrestler Dusty Rhodes, neither knew it would end up in marriage. Sparks flew instantly, and it didn't take long before the interview led to love, and in 2013 the two got married.
Rhodes is no longer in the WWE following a dispute about his new character, Stardust. Interestingly, the character did appear in a few WWE crossovers with "Scooby-Doo" and the "Jetsons." Still, there's nothing he can't handle when he has love, and the outrageously beautiful Brandi, by his side.
Kendra Shaw and Julius Randle
The L.A. Lakers baller has made some impressive moves on the court. At his young age, with a successful NBA career and now a wife, he seems to be ahead of the game. Randle married his longtime girlfriend, Kendra Shaw. Shaw is an entrepreneur and celebrity blogger, and of course, the woman of his dreams. The two were planning to get married, but before they got to the alter, Shaw gave birth to their first baby boy.
A year later, they managed to exchange vows in a beautiful California ceremony. While not many details were released, we do know that it was a star-studded event filled with All-Star players.
Julius Peppers and Claudia Sampedro
Former Green Bay Packer’s pass-rusher Julius Peppers snagged the sexy Cuban-born model and actress Claudia Sampedro in 2014. For years, the couple maintained a loving relationship without the bond of marriage. They already had one child together, plus a blended family, so there was no rush.
Sampedro starred in the reality program "WAGS Miami," a show about women in relationships with athletes. Before he hit the Packers’ roster, Peppers was ranked as one of the greatest players ever for the Carolina Panthers. Sampedro has launched her own clothing line and has built quite the career for herself despite her famous husband.
Zendaya and Tom Holland
The pair came to life during the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" film. Zendaya and Tom Holland play classmates in the Marvel film. When they attended the red carpet premiere of the film together, the height difference between them became more apparent. Zendaya actually stands two inches taller than Holland.
The two have been asked about their height difference, and Zendaya said she couldn't care less. Apparently, her mom is also taller than her dad. They had their fair share of barriers to break down; the biggest one was trying to hide their relationship from the media, which must have been stressful. Today, they are out in the open as an item and we love that for them.
Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble
Jenner met her boyfriend while attending a fashion designer's birthday party in 2014. However, the two aren’t exactly overly emotional about each other, especially not in public, and it would seem that Jenner doesn’t have any (immediate) intentions of putting a ring on Gamble’s finger.
But even without PDA and wedding rings, they’ve maintained a solid romance, which is pretty incredible when you take into consideration that she is 25 years older than him. It's no small feat joining the Kardashian-Jenner clan, especially as a late-comer, but despite a couple of hiccups, Gamble seems to have adjusted well to TV's craziest family.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
Let's be honest; the past few years have given us situations that we could never have imagined happening. In 2022, we checked another thing off our “things we never thought would happen” checklist when the rise of Bennifer 2.0 emerged from the woodwork. After Ben split from Jennifer Garner, there was hearsay that he might reconnect with JLo. And, (J)Lo and behold, that's just what happened.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck famously dated in the early 2000s before calling it quits after allegations that Ben was unfaithful. Surprisingly, after almost two decades apart, the two rekindled their relationship, proving anything is truly possible!
Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata
Nicolas Cage has long made the news when it comes to his personal relationships. The “National Treasure” actor has been married multiple times to everyone from famous actresses to waitresses. In 2021, Nicolas shocked the world once again when he and his fifth wife, Riko Shibata, got married in Las Vegas.
What was shocking, however, was that the two have 30 years between them! Nicolas was already a film star before his wife had even been born! The actor met his Japanese wife while he was filming in Japan, and sparks flew. Nicholas is actually a huge star in Japan, and we're sure this only endeared him more.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari
Britney Spears’ personal relationships have often been so shocking that they’ve often managed to overshadow her career as a pop icon. From Justin Timberlake to quickie Las Vegas weddings, the princess of pop has made some rather interesting dating decisions.
Perhaps that’s why fans were so concerned when Britney revealed that she was dating Sam Asghari, a model and personal fitness trainer she met on the set of her music video for the single “Slumber Party.” Despite their decade-plus age difference and Britney’s poor track record when it comes to marriage, the two eventually tied the knot in 2022. But it didn't last long.
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott
It’s hard to believe that Kylie Jenner is no longer just the shy teenager who appeared in the early seasons of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Like her siblings, the makeup mogul has made some questionable decisions when it comes to relationships.
In late 2018, she had tongues wagging when she began dating rapper Travis Scott. It wasn’t long into their relationship when the rapper was hit with allegations that he was unfaithful to the celebrity. Since then, they've divided fans with their on-and-off relationship status, which seems to have ended permanently. They did welcome their second child though, a son, in 2022.
Ryan Miller and Noureen DeWulf
Actress Noureen DeWulf was well into her acting career by the time she met Ryan Miller, goaltender for the Anaheim Ducks. DeWulf, who was born in New York, is known for her roles in "Burning Love" and as the character of Lucy in "Anger Management," starring opposite Charlie Sheen. Of Indian heritage, she is also fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and Gujarati.
DeWulf and Miller married in Vancouver in 2011 and welcomed their first child, Bodhi Ryan Miller, in 2015. After many years together, the couple is still going strong, even through grueling health challenges. They prove that love and hard work can make any marriage successful.
Lauren Morelli and Samira Wiley
Lauren Morelli and Samira Wiley are two of the most influential women in television at the moment. According to an interview Wiley gave with BUST magazine, she fell in love with wife Lauren Morelli’s mind long before she even met her in person.
That’s because when she read the "Orange Is the New Black" script she wrote, which included Wiley’s breakthrough character, Poussey, she just knew she was something special. The women were married in Palm Springs in 2017. In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, and are over the moon with their expanded family.
Camila Mendes and Charles Melton
These two "Riverdale" stars fell head over heels for each other on the set of the popular CW series and announced their official relationship in 2018. The relationship excited fans beyond measure, and naturally boosted the show's ratings (though, nothing comes close to Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse's relationship in that regard). Even though the couple split in 2019, fans have been rooting for them to reunite ever since.
Can you blame them? These two look perfect together! If the relationship ever makes a comeback, their home will be multilingual: Mendes, as a woman of Brazilian roots, speaks Portuguese, and Melton speaks Korean thanks to his own ancestry.
Sanjay Gupta and Rebecca Olson
We don't know a lot of famous neurosurgeons, but Gupta is one. He is also a writer and a medical reporter, frequently appearing as the chief medical correspondent on CNN. Being a neurosurgeon is impressive enough, but it's still pretty cool to be pals with Anderson Cooper. Like many others on this list, he was fortunate enough to meet his wife when the two were incredibly young.
They both grew up in Michigan and went to the same high school and the same University. Rebbeca is a self-employed lawyer. The two lovebirds tied the knot in 2004 in a Hindu wedding. They have three daughters together, named Sage Ayla, Soleil Asha, and Sky Anjali.
Bruce Willis and Emma Heming
You may remember that Bruce Willis's most infamous romantic relationship was his 12-year marriage to actress Demi Moore. The two stars had three daughters together before ending things in 2000. Nine years later, Willis said, “I do,” to his new wife, model Emma Heming. Emma was born in Malta, but spent much of her life between London and the States.
Willis is 22 years older than his current wife, but that shouldn’t come as a shocker since his former wife was 15 years younger than him, too. Still, the two are going strong and have built their own unique family.
Elise Tate and Golden Tate
Elise Tate is a degree holder in Marketing and Sales from the University of Washington. She is the director of business development at Harvey Nash and is killing it on the corporate ladder. When Mrs. Tate was in college, she participated in intramural activities like softball, tennis, golf, and soccer. =
Elise also has strong advocacies for pet adoption, as well as normalizing the use of sign language in the home - whether your kids are hearing-impaired or not. She married Golden Tate, Detroit Lions' NFL wide receiver, in 2017 on a private beach in Cabo San Lucas with 250 guests. Today, the two appear to have a stronger bond than ever before.
Elaine Alden and Landry Fields
The former Knicks player turned free agent played five seasons for the NBA. But after a bad injury in 2016, he was forced to retire and became a college basketball scout for the San Antonio Spurs. While his career took a hit, his love life certainly did not. In 2014 he met his would-be wife, model Elaine Alden. The two got engaged pretty early on in the relationship.
They were married by July of that year. They now have two sons, Jackson, who was born in 2013, and Kai, who was born in 2016. As a family, they identify as Christians and try to maintain those values.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan locked eyes in one of the most random places you could ever imagine. They met in a college bathroom when they were both waiting in line for their turn. Priscilla was also studying at the Ivy League school, and the two brilliantly intelligent people stuck to each other from there on out.
It's no surprise that he would be attracted to Priscilla since she's not just beautiful but also insanely intelligent - she is also fluent in three languages! The two have gone on working together in a joint foundation, and so far, they're doing great.
Frederick Douglass and Helen Pitts
Frederick Douglass and Helen Pitts' love story takes us way back to the 1800s. The two were an unlikely pair back in the day since they both came from different backgrounds and looked very different from each other. Helen was a suffragist writer who worked in Douglass' office and that's how they met. It's hard to imagine just how difficult it must have been to stick it out in a mixed relationship back in those days.
She even helped him publish his own autobiography - talk about true love! Douglass' family couldn't accept their love, but at least they found solace with their closest friends. They stuck together for at least 11 years until Douglass passed away.
Tyra Banks and Erik Asla
You go, Tyra! The stunning supermodel has been dating Norwegian hunk Erik Asla since 2012, but they have been so impressively secret about their relationship you probably don’t even recognize his name! Every couple should follow this model of secrecy because it brings forth higher chances of longevity in the relationship.
The couple met on the set of "Norway’s Next Top Model" and fell head-over-heels behind the camera. They now share a son together with the help of a surrogate! Outside of their child together, Asla also has three other daughters who live in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the pair split in 2017.
George Takei and Brad Altman
You might remember George Takei from his role as Sulu in "Star Trek," where he moved from one place to another. Brad and George met at a gay club called the Frontrunners. George was awestruck by Brad's running skills, and later on, the two worked hard to train together.
The two make a great team, and George says the secret to their relationship is working together. George works hard at being a writer and actor, while his partner is generally a great manager. The two make for a great pair and have been together for decades! Whether they know it or not, their relationship is vital for paving the way forward in Hollywood.
Jujubee and Chris
If you've seen RuPaul's Drag Race, you can't forget Jujubee. Airline Inthyrath is his given name, but he prefers to go by his drag name. He's originally from Laos, Thailand, but grew up in Boston, where he met his partner Chris.
They were both seen sporting beautiful wedding rings in Paris back in 2013 when they got engaged. The two were engaged for 12 years, and Chris was even Jujubee's manager at one point, but the two decided to call the entire relationship off after multiple struggles and differences. While they were together, they turned heads for a number of reasons, but they never let those differences get between them.
Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry
Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry are both famous for their distinct careers that somehow mesh together quite well. They both had strong solo careers, and Portuguese-Brazilian singer Linda Perry was drawn to Sara Gilbert's acting in her hit show "The Talk."
Sara mentioned in an interview how they were both very different women, but somehow they were able to click because of some shared interests. They were together for five years until they decided to split ways and file for divorce. The divorce was only finalized two years after they decided to split, but they kept it amicable while helping their son adjust to the new dynamic.
Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti
Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti are Millenials at heart because they met online through social media. Peele was the first person to slide into her DMs, being a huge fan of Chelsea's when she was on the road to making her own web series.
The two got together three years later and try to maintain a low-key type of lifestyle. The producer and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star have a child together, and they're usually seen on the gram showing off their funny family moments. We have no doubt that the Peele household is constantly full of laughs, though given Jordan's wide range of interest in genres, maybe some suspense as well?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The British-American power couple has been making waves for their radical exit from the Royal House. Prince Harry didn't want to live in the limelight of the Royal House, so he sought out the unconventional path and went for the love of his life. Their relationship sparked controversy for a number of reasons, one of them absolutely being race-centered.
Despite living a life of fame and having cameras in their face almost all the time, the two just want to live a normal life with their children. Prince Harry truly wants to live an average life which is why they had to make some drastic changes to be fully happy.
Omari and Jae Hardwick
Omari Hardwick, the actor from the hit show "Power" is well known for starring in hit movies and even collaborating with Spike Lee at one point. When Omari was working on the show, he said that his partner gave him a lot of strength to move forward with his life. The pair married in 2012, and it's been over two decades of marital bliss for these two.
The two eventually had children together. Jae also had a background in communications and entertainment and even worked in NBC's Primetime Entertainment Publicity Department. Even though their fans and people in the entertainment world were ambivalent about their relationship, they stuck by each other's side.
Joel Madden and Nicole Richie
You might remember Nicole Richie from the show "The Simple Life" with her then-best friend, Paris Hilton. What you might not also know is that her father's Mexican and she hails from a mixed background. Good Charlotte vocalist, Joel, met Nicole at one of his concerts back in 2010. The pair instantly clicked and married that same year.
Soon, they expanded their family and had children together. Recently, they've admitted that they've had their fair share of struggles and have been thinking about divorcing. They've mentioned in interviews that they aren't getting along as well as they used to - but so far, so good!
Matt Stone and Angela Howard
Angela Howard was an executive at Comedy Central when Matt Stone fell in love with her. The stunning couple met in 2001, married in 2008, and the two have been together ever since. They prefer to avoid publicity, but we do know they live in Venice Beach with their two children.
The five-time Emmy Award-winning actor has been creating “South Park” for almost a quarter-century. Stone also won three Tony Awards and a Grammy for “The Book of Mormon.” Stone and partner Trey Parker sealed a $900 million deal with Viacom in 2021 to make six more seasons of “South Park.”
Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson
Jodie says Joshua Jackson loves that she is obsessed with him. She watches videos of the “Dawson’s Creek” actor whenever they are apart. However, while the two have had only love for one another, their blissful true love story has not escaped prejudice from others. Turner-Smith said she was actually shocked at the reactions of some people.
It came from within her own community. She noted that interracial dating or marriage is not something that is as accepted in America, and although that is extremely disappointing, she doesn't want to give the criticism too much energy. The horrific things that people were saying taught her to keep things to herself. As of late 2023, the couple have announced their divorce.
James Earl Jones and Cecilia Hart
James Earl Jones and Cecilia Hart first met each other while playing opposite roles in a 1979 TV series. But it was a 1982 Broadway production of “Othello” when Jones played Othello to her Desdemona, and that’s when they married. Their union was not met graciously by many, who felt the pair were not well-suited enough based on their skin tones.
The voice of Darth Vader and actor in so many roles faced prejudice for being black throughout his life. Much of it hit home. His grandmother, who raised him, was bigoted. Jones and actress Cecilia faced interracial prejudice too. They were married for 34 years until her parting at age 68.
Nikki Park and Wesley Snipes
Actor/producer Wesley Snipes, famous for “White Men Can’t Jump,” met Nakyung “Nikki” Park making the Marvel superhero horror movie “Blade.” They married in 2003 after three years of dating and have four children, two born before marriage. The pair have supported each other through thick and thin, even when Snipes had landed himself in some pretty hot water and, eventually, jail.
Nikki is a Korean artist. The painter hails from South Korea but has dual citizenship from Canada. Her father was a television series producer. The couple has done all they can to keep their family life private and especially keep their children out of the public eye.
Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian
According to the Rock, it’s the greatest. Lauren Hashian and Dwayne Johnson met on the film set of “The Game Plan” in 2006. The "Fast and Furious" star is known to gush over his wife, especially on social media. Can you blame him? Lauren is decidedly gorgeous and, according to all sources, a strong figure all round.
Lauren is a singer-songwriter and music producer. Most recently, they have been working on “Young Rock,” an NBC series about his early life. They married at a beautiful Hawaiian wedding on August 18, 2019. The couple has since welcomed three daughters - so it looks like The Rock as his work cut out for him.
Jameela Jamil and James Blake
It's not clear entirely how they met, but by the time Jameela's birthday came around in 2015, rumors were already flying. Jameela and James dated for five years before the wedding engagement was announced. Quietly, they were together. Model Jameela told the British press that the pair moved in with each other almost as soon as they had kissed. Talk about a whirlwind romance!
Jameela was planning on buying a place while she lived with James, but it turned into a living situation. James, a singer-songwriter out of London, is sure to run to her side whenever social media rears its ugly head. Still, Jameela can handle herself, and she has proven that fact time and time again.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves
Alright, alright, alright! (We couldn't help ourselves). We’ve known Matthew McConaughey as a rom-com heartthrob for years now, so it might come as a surprise that he’s on the cover of “AARP The Magazine.” Today, McConaughey is happily married with children. His wife is the gorgeous Brazilian model, Camila Alves, and the pair have been an item since 2006.
Not surprisingly, the Oscar-winning actor’s wife Camila backed him 100 percent when he announced his plan to leave romance comedies behind. It took declining a $14.5 million contract. But the pair is happy to move on to other film roles like “Dallas Buyers Club.”
NBA Icon Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto
When the “Air” Jordan documentary “The Last Dance” came out, so have details about the basketball star's hush-hush marriage. Not because it is depicted in the film, but because it was missing. They didn’t date until his Chicago Bulls days were over.
Now we recall Cuban model Yvette Prieto met the basketball great at a nightclub in 2007. After moving into Jordan’s Miami home, the engagement was announced in 2011. They flew under the radar, but that did not mean they skimped on the wedding. It was a $10 million bash with 300-plus guests and musical entertainment by Robin Thicke.
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
Khloé Kardashian and NBA star Tristan Thompson found each other in 2016. Let's just say that it hasn't been smooth sailing. Being traded from team to team put a strain on their relationship. Luckily, he signed with the Sacramento Kings. This helped assuage Khloé’s worries. She wants the family on the same coast because she wants the best for her gorgeous daughter True, who was born in 2018.
Unfortunately, Tristan is not true. Plagued with being unfaithful and having a baby with another woman, it has strained their relationship significantly. Khloé hopes that they can co-parent together, but she’s losing hope in him.
Justin Chambers and Keisha Chambers
In January 2020, Justin Chambers made the tough decision to leave the show that made him famous. Dr. Alex Karev was one of the show's most popular characters. He won the Best Actor People’s Choice Award in 2017. Now, he is ready to broaden his acting career. One thing that is not set to change, however, is his rock-solid relationship with his wife of over 20 years.
Justin and Keisha were both models when they met. He was working on a Calvin Klein advertising campaign, and she was working at a modeling agency. The couple has five children together, including a set of twins. Their family also includes two rescue dogs.
Sidney Portier and Joanna Shimkus
Sidney Portier has the special acclaim of being the first black person to win a Best Actor Oscar. He won the award in 1964 for “Lilies of the Field.” His philosophy was to present an image black people would be proud of. He said he did it for his kids since so few positive images of blacks in films existed at the time.
Joanna and Sidney met in 1969, but it was one of her last roles. After she married Portier, she decided not to pursue acting. Her last film was in 1972, so it was a surprise when she returned to television in 2018.
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song
It was fate when Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song met on the set of “Changeland” in 2019. The two clicked over their Hollywood experiences. We have to say, this is one Hollywood crossover that took a lot of people by surprise. Brenda Song hadn't been a household name in about a decade, and Macaulay Caulkin was the subject of much controversy.
Macaulay is, of course, the “Home Alone” star. He’s the quintessential child actor, immortalized as that kid Kevin. Song starred in many Disney Channel hits, like “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” Flash forward to 2021, and the two are still going strong with one child, born in April 2021.
Josh Holloway and Yessica Kumala
Yessica, a Chinese girl who was born in Indonesia, was working at the nightclub when she met Josh Holloway. They exchanged numbers and kept in contact for five years before marrying. They share one of the most successful Hollywood relationships and two children.
The pair wedded in Hawaii in 2004. About that time, Josh was just wrapping up the shoot of the pilot for “Lost.” When they met, he was doing modeling work and taking small roles. Yessica was by his side all the way to the top as “Lost” found him international fame. The pair constantly post photos of their beautiful family online.
Ice-T and Coco Austin
At first, it’s jarring. Here’s one of L.A.’s oldest gangster rappers starring on a reality TV called “Ice Loves Coco,” but it’s all real. Ice-T says they make their marriage work by communicating well and staying on the same team. Breaking up was never part of the plan, so they don’t fight or raise their voices. They demonstrate how to resolve conflict in a “functional” way, rather than the oh-so-common reality TV dysfunction.
They met at a music videotaping. Ice-T asked Coco if she’d date a gangster rapper. They married in 2005 and literally have not left each other’s side since.
Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon
A love story between an actor and a writer, in our opinion, is as good as it can get. These two have had their share of the not-so-pretty side of life, but as always, love wins it all. Kumail and Emily are known for their shared movie "The Big Sick," based on their real-life romance, and in 2017 it was chosen as one of the best movies of that year.
In the movie, Kumail played himself, and in our eyes, if they managed to go through that, they will probably be able to go through anything in life. It's not easy living together and working together, we say!
Dr. Dre and Nicole Threatt Young
Gangster rapper Dr. Dre, an L.A. original, was a founding member of N.W.A. He went solo and nabbed six Grammy Awards. He produced famous acts like Eminem and 50 Cent. One of his greatest achievements, however, was his powerful relationship with Nicole which lasted two decades.
Nicole and Dr. Dre met in the 1990s. He wooed her to his side with a love letter. Yet, after 25 years of marriage, they ended up in a messy divorce. A rancorous settlement of a whopping $100 million only came, finally, two days after the rapper suffered from a medical condition. The two aren't on the best of terms, but they did make a big impression on Hollywood for the duration of their marriage.
Eve and Maximillion Cooper
When Eve married a white guy, it was not received well - at all. People lashed out at her on social media posting the “worst crazy messages” that were so terrible she couldn’t believe it. It was an unfortunate reminder that even though society has come so far, there will always be people who are bigoted. This is particularly true for celebs where people can send them anonymous hate mail and know that they'll never come face-to-face with the stars.
The animosity has leveled off. Millionaire businessman Maximillion Cooper and Eve married in 2014. The two are blissfully married and are working on expanding their family. Before she left “The Talk” she spoke openly about their struggles to conceive.
Paul Wall and Crystal Wall
Paul Wall, a rapper, songwriter, D.J., and actor from Houston, began dating Crystal when they were both 21, although the lovebirds met in high school. They dated for several years, and now they have a strong marriage and two children. They attribute a mutual love of music as the thing that makes their relationship great.
Crystal is a fitness instructor and also a country music singer. Paul has talked about feeling tensions because his wife is black. Living in Texas, prejudice is expected, but he says he experiences even more dirty looks and snide comments traveling to the east coast.
Derek Luke and Sophia Adella
"Empire" star Derek Luke stands behind his woman. In response to naysayers, Luke says Sophia may not be black, but “She’s mine, and she’s mine with a heart of gold,” he wrote on his Instagram page. It can be tough for celebs who put themselves in the public eye but want to keep some aspects of their lives private. Everyone feels they should have a say in the stars' lives and choices.
The couple has been married for many happy years. Luke also expressed some frustration. He asked his followers why it is, in 2015, that it’s a problem to date people of other colors.
Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagyan
Lilit took Reggie Bush’s last name when they tied the knot at a lavish wedding in Bush’s hometown in San Diego. The celebration hit a high when the “Dancing with the Stars” bride performed a beautiful dance number, just for her new hubby. We're sure even the haters couldn't have been mad after that.
The two met in 2011 and waited until the birth of their first baby to marry. Bush said Lilit, who has Armenian background, is a great mom with a “calming spirit.” He also said he is really enjoying family time after formerly committing his life to football.
Wolfgang Puck and Gelila Assefa
World-famous celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck served a delicious A-lister affair to celebrate his marriage to Gelila Assefa, an Ethiopian-born fashion designer. They went all out with a three-day affair on the Italian island of Capris. Gourmet specialties, naturally, treated 250 esteemed guests.
A documentary film about his life and fame shed some light on their marriage. Wolfgang Puck shared his love for Gelila Assefa, saying she has made him a better man and happy in ways he says he never knew was possible. Say what you want about their age gap - but that sounds like true love to us.
Chris Noth and Tara Lynn Wilson
“Sex and the City” star Chris Noth was working at his bar when he met Tara Lynn, one of the bartenders. They began dating in 2004 and had their first child in 2008. Aside from bartending, Tara is an actress herself, as well as a playwright. She even has a teen beauty pageant title under her belt.
The pair exchanged vows in 2012. It’s a happy marriage, but it hasn’t been free of haters. Noth talked about receiving angry letters telling him he is not welcome in their state with his wife. Finally, they opened their own studio, and “I Love Lucy” became one of the most iconic sitcoms on television. Desilu Productions was incredibly successful. It took on “Star Trek,” for example.

The pair opted for two weddings: one rather intimate one with friends and family. While the other one was a lavish and star-studded night in Italy. Given that that was all the way back in 2009, it's safe to say that the couple did not pay any attention to the backlash they received, and they are clearly better off for it.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adam Housley
Many interracial relationships have their fair share of struggles, especially when both partners have starkly different cultural backgrounds. Adam was the first person to initiate the relationship when he saw a picture of Tamera in his professor's classroom. Tamera was his professor's favorite student, and he knew he couldn't pass up the opportunity of meeting her.
He invited her out to PF Chang's, and the rest of their relationship went uphill from there. Tamera was initially worried about the criticism since she is a person of color and he was white, but her family fully embraced Adam. The two have been happily married since 2011.

Unfortunately, the relationship was not meant to last, and the two finalized their divorce in 2022.
Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker
You just can't call yourself a member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan if you haven't been in multiple relationships before your 30th birthday, especially if it wasn't with a long string of basketball players. Thankfully, Kendall Jenner has met all of those criteria, and she's still so young!
Over the years, the reality TV star/model has dated the likes of Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Devin Booker. It seems like as of 2024, Jenner was working hard to rebuild her relationship with the latter. An insider reported that the two were "trying to figure things out" and that they "have always had a thing for each other and care about each other."
Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper
It's safe to say that Bradley Cooper has already been in a long string of relationships that have stolen the headlines. The star of films such as "The Hangover" and "Maestro" has dated the likes of Irina Shayk, Suki Waterhouse, and Zoe Saldana (which is hilarious when you consider the fact that the two were also members of the Guardians of the Galaxy). He was also married to Jennifer Esposito back in the 00s.
In more recent times though, Cooper has been dating iconic model Gigi Hadid, who is more than two decades younger than him. It is still early days between the two, so for all we know, they might have already gone their separate ways by the time this was published. Either way, the fact that they have been together at all has certainly raised a few eyebrows.

So it's nice to see that Usher has maybe finally found the right girl. Jennifer Goicoechea is a successful music executive and it was soon revealed that she had given birth to Usher's third child - a baby girl. In 2024, on the night that Usher performed during the halftime show of the Superbowl, the couple officially tied the knot in Las Vegas.

She also had a pretty serious relationship with screenwriter Alev Aydin, having a son along the way.
Since 2023, Halsey has been dating actor Avan Jogia who is probably best known for his lead role in the movie "A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story." Unlike other couples on this list, Halsey and Jogia haven't been afraid to perform public displays of affection, even when the paparazzi are hanging around.

He might not be as famous as the aforementioned romances she had, but Blanco is a well-respected music producer these days. He has seemingly worked with everyone, from Bieber and Halsey to Kanye West and Ed Sheeran. Together, they just might be one of the biggest power couples that pop music has ever seen.

Upon her guest appearance on the sitcom "Fresh Meat," Gemma Chan caught the attention of lead Jack Whitehall. From that point onward, the couple were inseparable and for a long time, it seemed like they would go the distance. So that made fans even more bemused when it was revealed that after six years of dating, Chan and Whitehall decided to call it quits.
Many speculated that the couple's rise to fame and their conflicting schedules forced them to grow apart. Since then, Whitehall has been in a relationship with Roxy Horner, with the couple having a daughter together. Since 2018, Chan has been in a relationship with actor Dominic Cooper.
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton
To say that Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are one of the MCU's greatest power couples would be the understatement of the century. Many would agree that the former is responsible for playing one of the film franchise's most iconic villains in Loki. But Ashton has also shown in recent times her ability to be the antagonist of a Marvel movie. In 2023, she played the Kree villain Dar-Benn in the movie "The Marvels."
Long before this heel turn, Ashton was busy being one of the leads of one of the UK's most underrated sitcoms "Fresh Meat," in which she starred alongside the likes of Jack Whitehall. Tom and Zawe hit it off when they worked together on the Broadway production of "Betrayal." Since then, the couple got engaged and had a kid.
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton
Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the couples that stood out the most during their time on "Love is Blind" is Lauren Speed and Cameroon Hamilton. Viewers of the popular Netflix series were curious to see how the two would react to each other once they would finally see each other after hitting it off in the pods.
But it seems like it truly was love at first sight. After the initial romance, the couple admitted that their families might have a tough time accepting each respective party. But those worries were soon put to be pretty quickly. Since then, the happily married couple has maintained a huge presence on social media.
Seal and Heidi Klum
Sure, they haven't been together for a long time, but we still feel like they were worthy of a mention on this list. This is especially true since both still play a massive part in each other's lives. Seal and Heidi Klum were the talk of the town back in the '00s, with the former proposing to the latter in a quinzee on a glacier in British Columbia. A year later, they got married in Costa Careyes, Mexico, on the beach.
When they were together, the couple would renew their vows there each year. And despite giving birth to her ex's daughter in 2004, Seal took it upon himself to be the father figure in her life. They also had three other kids. And despite officially divorcing in 2014, Seal and Klum still have plenty of love for each other.
Vin Diesel and Paloma Jimenez
For someone as busy as Vin Diesel, it's a mystery how this guy could even have time to have a relationship with someone. For the last two decades alone, the action star has been working around the clock to build movie franchises such as "The Fast and the Furious" and "xXX." Not to mention the fact that he plays the voice of Groot in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies.
And yet, Diesel has been in a long-term relationship with Mexican model Paloma Jimenez since 2007, with whom he has had three kids. Before that, Diesel actually dated "Furious" co-star Michelle Rodriguez, but they soon put an end to that and kept things strictly professional.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren
There is no denying that Tiger Woods has had one of the most eventful relationships on this entire list. Back in 2003, when he was at the peak of his powers, Woods got engaged to Swedish model Elin Nordegren, whom he had met during 2001's The Open Championship. Just a year later, the couple tied the knot in Barbados and they had two kids to their name - a girl and a boy.
Sadly though, their relationship ended up spiraling out of control, with Woods having been unfaithful to Elin. News famously broke out of Elin chasing Woods out of his home with one of his golf clubs, smashing his car windows with it. The couple ended up getting divorced in 2010 and Woods' reputation was forever tarnished.
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton
In many ways, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton looked like the postcard couple. Amazingly, the two first met when they were just 14 and 16 respectively. They crossed paths at an under-21 hip-hop club and basically never looked back. In 2005, as their fame grew, the couple tied the knot and had a son along the way.
However, it seems like their ever-growing fame took a toll on their marriage, and they ultimately decided to go their separate ways in 2015. Since then, Thicke has married April Love Geary, and the couple have had three kids together - two girls and a boy.
Rashida Jones and Ezra Koenig
Ironically, Rashida Jones is actually the result of another mixed celebrity couple. Back in the day, music producer Quincy Jones was head over heels for model/actress Peggy Lipton. During their 15-year-long marriage, they had two girls, one of them being Rashida. While her personal life has often been in the background, Jones has never been shy about her romantic history.
She confesses that most of her romances have been with Jewish men, because of her own heritage. And this trend continued when she fell in love with the lead singer of Vampire Weekend, Ezra Koenig, back in 2017. They have kept things pretty low-key since then. But what we do know is that they have had a son together.
Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum
Both of these celebrities have already had high-profile relationships in the past. Zoe Kravitz has had a pretty impressive dating resume, having dated the likes of Ezra Miller and Penn Badgley. She also was briefly married to model/actor Karl Glusman. As for her counterpart, Channing Tatum got plenty of publicity from his marriage to "Step Up" co-star Jenna Dewan.
However, after the good part of a decade together and having a daughter, they called it quits. It seemed like the window of opportunity had opened for both superstars, with the couple confirming that they were dating as of 2021. And just in 2023, they announced their engagement to the world.
George and Olivia Harrison
John Lennon wasn't the only Beatle who found himself in a mixed relationship at some point in his life. The late, great George Harrison was renowned for traveling the world and opening his mind to other cultures. After his marriage to Pattie Boyd came to an end in 1977, Harrison tied the knot with Olivia Arias the following year. It didn't take long for the couple to have their son Dhani.
Following Lennon's death, the family decided to pack their bags and explore parts of the Pacific. But probably Olivia's great testament to her love for George was when she overpowered someone who attacked him in their home, ultimately saving his life. Two years later, George passed away after bouts with numerous cancers.
Grace Jones and Atila Altaunbay
They may have been separated for a few decades already, but Grace Jones and Atila Altaunbay were certainly the talk of the town when they were an item. The popular Jamaican singer admitted in a memoir that despite the rumors, she had only married one of her boyfriends, and that was Atila.
Here, we can see the couple having fun at a "Made in Italy" awards ceremony in New York, back in 2000. Over the years, Jones has also had relationships with celebrities such as Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Paul Goude, and Sven-Ole Thorsen. So you can see that Grace has certainly had a type throughout her life.
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd
This is one mixed power couple that hasn't managed to consistently stay together. Bella Hadid and singer The Weeknd have been on and off over the years - most notably between the years of 2015 and 2019. Probably the pinnacle of their relationship came at the early stages of their relationship when Bella starred in the music video of his single "In the Night."
Since then, The Weeknd has had noteworthy relationships with other people such as Selena Gomez. Since 2022, the "Blinding Lights" crooner has been in a relationship with Saudi DJ Simi Khedra. Unlike other romances, he decided to keep this one relatively low-key.
Donald Glover and Michelle White
Donald Glover has always been known as an entertainer who can appeal to fans from a variety of backgrounds. The multi-talented performer has had plenty of success under his musician alias Childish Gambino. But he has also achieved greatness in the realm of film and TV, having created the critically acclaimed series "Atlanta."
He has also been the co-lead in the hit series "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Speaking of which, during one of the days of production, Glover tied the knot with his girlfriend Michelle White before returning to the set the same day. Despite already having three kids together, the couple tries to keep their personal life pretty low-key.
Maya Erskine and Michael Angarano
Over the last few years, Maya Erskine has wowed fans and critics alike with her performance as one-half of the on-screen mixed couple "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," starring alongside Donald Glover. And behind the scenes, the talented actress is also in a mixed relationship, having been with fellow actor Michael Angarano since 2019.
A couple of years into their relationship, the couple welcomed their first child into the world, a baby boy called Leon. Despite this, the two decided to wait a little until the time was right to tie the knot. They finally made their dream come true in early 2024.
Bill Hader and Ali Wong
It was very much lightning in a bottle when it came to how Bill Hader and Ali Wong hit it off. With that said, the two were friends for quite some time before finally becoming an item. For a while, the two were in different relationships. But two factors led them to each other. One - both of their relationships came to an end.
And two - their individual fame reached a whole new level over the last few years. Hader reached a whole new audience with his hit dark comedy series "Barry," while Wong achieved the same thing with her show on Netflix, "Beef." Since they made things official, Hader and Wong have been each other's plus-one at numerous award ceremonies.
