From singer-songwriters to country rock ‘n’ rollers, there’s a take on country music for everyone. We might not all be huge fans of the style of Johnny Cash or Hank Williams, but these days, there’s definitely mass appeal – just look at Keith Urban or Kacey Musgraves! These are the partners of some of the most famous country singers!
This New Zealand-born, Australian-raised country star comes from rather humble origins. After marked success, he sadly battled the less-favorable aspects of fame. But all that turned around, and for good, after meeting his darling wife, the acclaimed Australian actress Nicole Kidman. The pair met at G’Day, LA, an event held in Hollywood to honor Australians!
Back in January 2005, the Once In A Lifetime singer first laid eyes upon the beautiful Nicole. Just six months later, the pair were dating, before Urban popped the question, just under a year later! Keith and Nicole have two daughters together, and Kidman also has two adopted children from her previous marriage to Hollywood hard-hitter, Tom Cruise.
Dierks Bentley and Cassidy Black
Releasing his eponymous debut album after signing to Capitol Nashville, the Phoenix, Arizona native, Dierks Bentley is among some of the most accomplished in the country scene. Amassing a whopping fifteen No. 1 singles over the course of his career, you could say he’s pretty well accomplished. And of course, a hot ticket item like Bentley isn’t going to last on the shelf long – so it makes sense he’s now been happily married for almost 15 years, to his now-wife, Cassidy Black.
The pair wed in a ceremony in Mexico, back in December ’05, and it seems that the honeymoon phase has lasted for these lovebirds! Now with a family of their own, the couple has two daughters and a son. And like any country boy, Dierks loves his dogs, Jake and George. So much so, that Jake has appeared in a number of Bentley’s music videos.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
This renowned power couple of the country music scene is perhaps the best known in the business. Tim McGraw is one of the most famous country stars of all time, having secured a number of the industry’s prestigious accolades, including three Grammy Awards, ten American Music Awards, eleven Country Music Association Awards, and fourteen Academy of Country Music Awards! And now over to his fantastic wife, Faith Hill.
Arguably the most high-profile relationship in country music, the pair have been married for over 20 years, walking down the aisle back in 1996. Hill, in her own right, is an extremely successful musician, having sold over 40 million albums worldwide. The best part about the duo? They’ve recorded quite a few duets together. Oh, and they have three daughters together – no doubt they’ve inherited some of their parents’ natural-born talent!
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood
Okay, we’re going to need to roll out the red carpet for this next artist. Troyal Garth Brooks is basically, well, royalty in the country music business, and is in fact the second-highest-certified music artist in the U.S., with 148 million album certifications. He’s beaten by… The Beatles. Yeah. He’s a pretty huge deal. Regarding his private life, well that’s slightly more complex.
In 1986 he wed his college sweetheart, Sandy Mahl. The pair had three daughters, but after fourteen years, they decided to call it quits, splitting up in 2000. Fast forward a few years and Brooks began dating fellow country music songstress, Trisha Yearwood. They married in December 2005 and are still going strong!
Gary LeVox and Tara LeVox
Best known as the lead singer of country music group Rascal Flatts, next up on our list is Gary LeVox. The American singer-songwriter, born Gary Wayne Vernon, Jr., changed his name early on – did you know the stage name was taken from the studio-console label for his lead-vocal track? He first performed at the age of eight, stepping on the stage in a play at his church. In 1997, LeVox moved to Nashville Tennessee, playing in Chely Wright’s band.
One day, when the usual guitarist was not in session, Joe Don Rooney stepped in, and from that moment on, the three felt great chemistry – thus, Rascal Flatts was born. Two years after making the move from Columbus, Ohio, LeVox saw Tara backstage at a gospel festival concert. Clearly, it was love at first sight – something just clicked: “I knew at that moment that I was looking at my future wife. It was the weirdest thing ever.”
LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian
Skyrocketing to fame at the tender age of thirteen, LeAnn Rimes is one of the few teen stars who’s managed to maintain and grow her success as a country singer and musician. Ever since her teens, she’s been active on the country circuit. In 2001, she met her first husband, back-up dancer Dean Sheremet, at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The pair tied the knot soon after and were married for 7 years before divorce proceedings finalized the end of their marriage in 2010.
The marriage, however, did not breakdown due to the couple not working out – Rimes actually had an affair! And the man she cheated with? Eddie Cibrian. Now we’re not naming and shaming and all that – but we do feel pretty sorry for Sheremet! Allegedly Rimes and Cibrian fell for one another whilst filming together, and were quickly married on April 2011, in California.
Jennifer Nettles and Justin Miller
If you’re unfamiliar with Jennifer Nettles – she’s half of the popular country music duo, Sugarland. Also a successful solo artist, she met her current husband, Justin Miller, while filming Sugarland’s video for “Want To.” In the music clip, the pair film a love scene – clearly there was chemistry from early on. But in fact, they waited a couple of years before they started dating – also, there was the small reason that Nettles was married at the time.
In 2007, Nettles divorced her husband of nearly 10 years, Todd Van Sickle, before moving on with Miller. The two dated for a couple of years before getting married in November 2011. By June of the following year, the newlywed couple announced that they were expecting their first son – and Magnus Hamilton Miller was born in December 2012!
Martina McBride and John McBride
Recording since the late 80s, next up is the successful country babe, Martina McBride. Experimenting with a crossover style into pop, many have likened her transition to that of Shania Twain. This decision to be a little more poppy with her songs aided her in gaining fame nationwide. In 1988, McBride married her sound engineer husband, who told online media outlet The Boot “I’m not a religious guy, but I always felt God put us together.” Cute!
The two have been together ever since, and these happily married lovebirds have three daughters together: Delaney Katharine, Emma Justine, and Ava Rose Kathleen. What we love most about their love story is their commitment to one another, and wanting to be the best parents they can be to their girls!
Amy Grant and Vince Gill
Country singer-songwriter, author, actress and media personality, Amy Grant has done it all! With particularly strong faith, Grant’s focus with her music has always been on contemporary gospel and Christian music with a country twist. In recent years, she crossed over to Christian pop and found great success in this pursuit. Country singer Vince Gill invited the multi-talented Grant to perform in his Christmas special, and after the event, the pair became good friends.
It seems that their friendship was more than just companionship – the pair both divorced their respective partners and tied the knot in March 2000. The pair quickly announced they were expecting, and Grant gave birth to a baby girl, named Corrina.
Jamie Lynn Spears and Jamie Watson
Sure, she might be best known for the fact that she’s the sister of a 90s pop icon, but you know what, Jamie Lynn Spears has her own trumpet to toot! An actress and singer, Jamie Lynn first became uber-famous for her role on Zoey 101, back in 2005. She was already making headlines as the cute younger sis of Britney, but it seems she had more headlines to make, scandalously becoming pregnant at the age of just sixteen.
The teen mom’s career then took a hiatus and she decided to spend time raising her little one. Fast forward to 2013, and Spears pursued a singing career in country music, releasing an EP. A year before, she began dating businessman and voice actor, Jamie Watson, and following two years of dating, the two walked down the aisle in March 2014, in New Orleans. The pair have since welcomed a child into the world – daughter, Ivey Joan Watson!
Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr
Jason Aldean is quite a big deal when it comes to the country music scene – he’s gone quadruple platinum! The multi-award-winning artist, including ACM Award Male Vocalist of the Year has had a wild ride on his way to the top. He thought he’d found that forever love with his high-school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. However, the rumor mill was churning after he was photographed kissing the American Idol alum, Brittany Kerr – scandalously while he was still married to his wife!
Sorry Jason, but that’s just not cool! He tried to repair his marriage, but it was too far gone, with Aldean filing for divorce. Kerr and Aldean however, began dating, before getting married in Mexico in 2015. Since then, the pair have been inseparable, and have also welcomed their son Memphis into the world.
Shania Twain and Frédéric Thiébaud
Ms. Shania Twain recorded the bestselling album ever made by a woman, but soon after disappeared. Why? She lost her voice. This wasn’t just a few concerts or a matter of antibiotics – the singer didn’t record anything for an astonishing fifteen years. Her huge album successes happened largely due to the help of her husband and music partner, Robert “Mutt” Lange. 'Come on Over' sold 40 million copies – and is the bestselling album by a female artist.
Her first marriage was of course to Lange, after meeting at Nashville’s Fan Fair. They married in 1993, had a son, Eja together, however, were divorced in 2010, after it was found that she had an affair with Shania’s best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. But in a twist, Twain announced that she had got together with Thiébaud’s husband, Frédéric! Scandal!! Seems that the pair are stronger than ever, and very much in love!
Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black
After almost 25 years, Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black have been inseparable. Both Texas natives, the pair met at one of Clint’s concerts. At the time, Lisa was super famous for her role on the Dallas spin-off titled 'Knots Landing'. Less than a year after their first meeting, the pair were married. Clint is a huge deal on the country music circuit, having had thirty singles reach the top ten on the U.S. Billboard country charts, and twenty-two of those singles have reached the number one spot.
The couple is great together, even musically, recording the hit duet “When I Said I Do” in 1999 – it reached the top of both the country and pop charts! The couple resides in Nashville, Tennessee, and have a daughter together, Lily Pearl Black, who was born in 2001.
Darius Rucker and Beth Rucker
When Rucker first laid eyes upon his future wife, Beth Leonard, something just clicked for him: “it was everything about her.” At the time, Rucker was still partying and enjoying the success of 'Hootie & the Blowfish', and Beth was working at VH1. Despite her initial rebuffing of Rucker, it seems that his persistence paid off, with the pair marrying in 2000. Since then, the couple has been happily together, but not without a few fun stories on the way.
Rucker remembers one night in NYC “She was walking up the stairs [to her apartment], and I said, 'Well, you know that I'm going to marry you, right?' She just laughed," he remembers. "Her roommate or her boyfriend was up there in their apartment, and I yelled, 'To whoever's up there in Beth Leonard's apartment, you can just leave because I just want you to know that I'm going to marry her!"
James Otto and Amy Alderson
A member of MuzikMafia, next up on our who’s who list is country artist, James Otto. If you’re unfamiliar with MuzikMafia, they’re a group of country musicians who create “country music without prejudice.” Also, a part of this group are musicians including the likes of Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich. Beginning his career with Mercury Nashville Records in 2002, he released one album, titled Days of Our Lives, before being unceremoniously dropped from the label in 2004.
He then proceeded to sign on with Warner Bros. Records, with a subsequent hit, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You”, becoming his very first Number One hit, as well as being the Number One country single of 2008, according to Billboard. As to his love life, Otto married Amy Alderson back in ’05, before welcoming their baby girl Ava Katherine into the world, in August 2010.
Keifer Thompson and Shawna Thompson
American country music husband and wife team, Thompson Square, are just a gorgeous duo. With complimentary vocals, the pair are signed to Stoney Creek Records. Often, it’s advised to not work with your partner, but when it works so beautifully, it's not surprising they decided to pursue a joint career. Together they’ve released three albums, garnering ten chart singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
Together for over fifteen years, this dynamic duo shows no signs of slowing down! In January 2016, the pair announced that they were welcoming their first child into the world – son, Rigney Cooper Thompson. Interesting name – apparently, it’s of Irish origin. The couple continues to record and perform together, and we’re sure their marriage and bond will only get stronger as the years go by.
Phillip Sweet and Rebecca Sweet
Member of the country-defining group, Little Big Town, Phillip Sweet is the rhythm guitarist and a vocalist in the band. If you’re a fan of the group, you’ll know that they don’t just have one lead singer – they share the load, rotating vocals. Clearly, vocals are a strong suit for the band, being named Vocal Group of the Year at the 2014 Country Music Association Awards.
A family man, Sweet wed his gorgeous wife Rebecca in March 2007. Going on 13 years of marriage, the pair are now happily raising their daughter, Penelopi Jane Sweet, who was born in December 2007, in Nashville.
Craig Morgan and Karen Morgan
American country music artist Craig Morgan Greer is not just a crooner – he’s also a veteran of the United States Army. Embarking on his musical career in 2000, through Atlantic Records, he released his self-titled debut album. Some years later, he signed to Broken Bow Records, releasing a further three albums. Seventeen of Morgan’s singles have charted on Billboard country charts, with six of them reaching the top ten. Married with five kids, he is a Tennessee local.
He’s also a bit of a local hero – in 2011, Morgan rescued two kids from a burning house in Dickson, Tennessee before proceeding to man a fire hose and help put out the fire. What a man! But for all his success and good deeds, a tragic accident saw him lose his 19-year-old son, Jerry. Falling off an innertube in Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River, his teenage son lost his life in the awful accident.
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins
Son of Rhett Akins, Thomas Rhett Akins Jr. is next up on our list! A singer and songwriter, he’s had success in his own right, with six singles reaching the top spot in charts including the Country Airplay and the Hot Country Songs chart. It seems that he’s got it all figured out – he met his now-wife way back in the second grade, tying the knot in October 2012.
Initially, the pair had some trouble having a child together and settled on adopting their first child – a baby girl from Uganda, Willa Gray Akins. But it seems that as they adopted and were adjusting to parenthood, Lauren got pregnant, having a baby girl in 2017, Ada James Akins. A softie at heart, Rhett sings to his wife and daughters in his song “Life Changes” – they even made an appearance in his music video!
Sam Hunt and Hannah Lee Fowler
Country musician and songwriter Sam Hunt wasn’t initially destined for country music – he was, in fact, pursuing a professional sports career before being signed on to MCA Nashville in 2014. Before discovering his own success, Hunt was actually credited for writing singles for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Billy Currington, and Reba McEntire.
Much of his musical inspiration he owes to his now-wife, Hannah Lee Fowler. The pair were wed in 2017 but had been dating on-and-off since 2008. Fun fact: his debut album was named after the town that Fowler is from - “I had never visited Montevallo, but right before I left to go to Nashville I met a girl from there. A lot of the experiences I had with her and the relationship I had with her, that inspired a lot of the songwriting on the album.” We love it!
Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans
Country cutie Kelsea Ballerini is a doll of country music, and just last year, the 24-year-old was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year for 2018’s Country Music Awards. Releasing her first album in 2015, she was even nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist. She remembers fondly how she came across the Australian country singer, Morgan Evans: "He was like, 'Let's take a shot,'" Kelsea recalled to People.
By Christmas of 2016, Kelsea and Morgan were engaged to be married, and Morgan moved to Nashville to be with his lady love. Ballerini described her engagement to the media, and it’s oh so gorgeous: “he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him. Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life.”
Mo Pitney and Emily Bankester
26-year-old country star Mo Pitney is an up and coming artist hailing from Cherry Valley, Illinois. Just a few years ago, he signed to Curb Records in 2016. The album did pretty well for a first, debuting at number ten on the Top Country Albums Billboard list – and that’s all within its first week of being released. He even did a few collabs on the album with Morgane Stapleton and Alison Krauss. Whoever was behind his marketing – well done!
As for the lady in his life, Mo met his future wife, Emily Bankester at a Bluegrass festival when they were just starry-eyed teens! From the moment he first saw her, he fell for her. The pair were wed in March 2016 in a small church in Emily’s hometown, in Illinois.
Dean Berner and Rachel Beauregard
A former member of country group, Eden’s Edge, the next star on our list is none other than Dean Berner. And let’s be real ladies, gents, he’s a bit of a hunk! Being in the music industry, it’s no wonder his now-wife is also a musician – she’s Rachel Beauregard of the country duo 'Native Run'.
The pair were engaged in April 2016, with Berner excitedly sharing the news in a Facebook post: “She said YES! WE’RE ENGAGED!!!" And it seems that country musicians are not just romantic in their songs and ballads – this cutie proposed to Rachel at the very same spot where they shared their first kiss!
Craig Wayne Boyd and Taylor Borland
Former The Voice contestant, Craig Wayne Boyd, is well remembered for winning the season seven competition. He’s released singles such as “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face” and has even opened for Rascal Flatts in Las Vegas. It was reported that he became engaged to model girlfriend, Taylor Borland, in June 2015.
A model for Wilhelmina Models, it wasn’t long before Boyd had put a ring on it and they were walking down the aisle. The pair had met after the singer’s time on the reality TV show, and have since started their own family. Boyd has one child from a previous relationship, but the couple now has a baby of their own – Dakota was born on New Year’s Eve of 2015 – now that’s a way to ring in the New Year!
Nick Hoffman and Natalie Murphy
The Farm is a pretty famous country music band, with their first album featuring two top forty singles on the Country Airplay Chart – “Home Sweet Home” and “Be Grateful.” Nick Hoffman is the vocalist and fiddle player for the group. He’s also played fiddle for Kenny Chesney’s band when on tour. In May of 2016, Hoffman married singer-songwriter, Natalie Murphy.
When reflecting on their wedding day, the ever sweet and ever smooth Hoffman said “There are no words to explain how amazing and perfect yesterday was. I am truly a blessed man.”
Dylan Scott and Blair Anderson
Signed to Curb Records, Dylan Scott released his first single in June 2013. He’s married to Blair Anderson, with the pair tying the knot in a ceremony held in Bastrop, Louisiana, in 2016. In the same year, he released a single that was very special to him, called “My Girl.” The song is inspired by his girl, Anderson, and is pretty darn cute!
The Boot interviewed Scott, who said of his album at the time “This has been 10 years in the making. A lot of hard work, a lot of tears, a lot of smiles, a lot of growing up. I finally feel like I’ve reached the point where I can share the story. A story that goes all the way back to sophomore year of high school. Just got my first truck, just started writing songs. I was 15. She was 16.”
Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin
Best recognized as Alex Dupre on the hit TV series, One Tree Hill, the talented Kramer went on from this to release her self-titled album with Elektra Records in 2012. She even did a season of Dancing With the Stars. Nothing like a reality TV series to spruce up your career. Kramer married her first husband, Michael Gambino, in 2004, but sadly divorced just months later.
It seems that her second round with marriage was just as catastrophic, marrying NFL player Mike Caussin in 2015. But scandal – it was revealed that when their baby, Jolie, was just seven months old, Caussin had cheated on his wife with multiple women. But Kramer, set on ensuring a happy home for her daughter, stuck it out and is still married to Caussin. We do hope they can figure it out, even if we’re thinking “run, girl, run!”
Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer
Chely Wright has been a sensational country music singer – even the Academy of Country Music named her Top New Female Vocalist in 1995. While she’s an incredible musician, Wright is also an outspoken gay rights activist. Growing up, Wright had to hide her relationships with women – apparently, her second relationship which lasted for almost a decade was the “love of my life” for Wright.
But in a rather surprising twist, Wright had an affair with country singer Brad Paisley, despite no having any romantic feelings for him. But after her fling with Paisley, Wright decided to come out as a lesbian to her family and the public. She’s since married, to LGBT rights activist Lauren Blitzer – the couple now have identical twin sons!
Luke Bryan and Caroline Boyer
The fact that Luke Bryan and Caroline Boyer found each other before fame is super sweet! College sweethearts, the pair met at a local bar while they both attended Georgia Southern University. After their romance in college, the pair finally got married in December 2006.
Luke Bryan began his career writing for the likes of Travis Tritt and Billy Currington, before signing on to Capitol Nashville with his cousin Chad Christopher Boyd. Caroline was his great support, and since then, the pair have had two sons together. In a sad twist, Bryan’s sister passed away, and as such, the pair are also raising their nephew Tilden.
Sunny Sweeney and Jeff Hellmer
American country music artist Sunny Sweeney is just a real blessing for country music. Having released several albums, she’s a personal songwriter and makes music from the heart. It’s been said that she “rides out the storms of life through songs” (The Oklahoman). She even released her first album independently. We love it!
Following her signing, her next albums were recorded through the label, and to great success! Sweeney also found love and married her longtime boyfriend and partner, Jeff Hellmer. The pair were wed in Las Vegas on November 11th, 2011, making their anniversary date 11/11/11 – now if that isn’t a memorable date, we don’t know what is – no excuses for forgetting, Jeff!
Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser
Wynonna Judd first gained fame performing alongside her mother Naomi, in the country music duo, The Judds. But in the early 90s, her career as a solo artist really blossomed. She found love with Arch Kelley III in 1996, but two years (and two kids) later, the couple divorced. Fast forward a few years, and Judd is now with her current spouse, Cactus Moser, known for his part in the band 'Highway 101'.
It hasn’t been easy riding, however – just months after their wedding, in June 2012, Moser was in a motorcycle accident which required his leg to be amputated. Overnight, Judd went from being “Wynonna the singer to Wynonna the wife, the nurse, the cook, the driver” – definitely a big ask for a newlywed – but the pair acknowledge that their marriage in fact grew stronger after the accident.
Randy Houser and Tatiana Starzynski
With a number of famous singles that have charted on the Mediabase Country Chart and Country Airplay Chart, it’s safe to say Randy Houser is quite established in the industry. When it comes to love though, things were a little more complicated. In 2011, he married Jessa Lee Yantz, with whom he had a child. Sadly, they ended it in 2014, with him ordering a restraining order!
Nowadays, he’s married to Australian-born beauty Tatiana Starzynski, with the pair marrying in May of 2016. The couple, after a long engagement, tied the knot, and it was announced just this year that the pair are expecting their first child together!
Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrrell
One of the lead singers of country music group Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott is next on our list. It was back in college that she met her now-husband, Chris Tyrrell. But the pair actually were apart for a while, and only began dating after Lady Antebellum and Tyrrell’s band 'Love and Theft' both opened for Tim McGraw’s 2010 Southern Voice Tour.
We suppose they were both getting their houses in order and ensuring each other’s success before pursuing a serious relationship. July 2010 was the summer that they started dating, and were quickly engaged when Tyrrell proposed in Tennessee. Married in January 2012, the pair announced they were expecting – Hilary gave birth to a daughter, Eisele Kaye, in July 2013.
Joe Don Rooney and Tiffany Fallon
A member of the Rascal Flats since 1992, Joe Don Rooney is quite the musical genius, playing the bass, mandolin, and even the banjo. His popularity and success no doubt would’ve attracted many women, but it was the model and beauty queen, Tiffany Fallon, who was to become the apple of his eye.
Fallon was also named Playmate of the Year in 2005! The couple was featured in the Playboy Cyber Club’s celebrity photographer section – with a nude pictorial of Fallon being shot by J.D. himself! The couple has three kids together: Jagger, Raquel, and Devon!
Natalie Maines and Adrian Pasdar
Next up is Natalie Maines, the lead singer for the Dixie Chicks. While she was part of the band, she was married to her college sweetheart, Michael Tarabay. But it seems that forever was only two years long. In May of the same year, Maines met actor Adrian Pasdar at her bandmate Emily Erwin’s wedding.
After a year of dating, it was their turn to walk down the aisle, marrying in June 2000 at the “A Little White Wedding Chapel” in Las Vegas. The pair has two sons, Jackson and Beckett. However, after 17 years, Maines filed for divorce. No one’s quite sure why the marriage ended, but we’re going to have to take Maines’ rep’s answer of it being a “private family matter”.
Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock
After empire-building together for decades, this pair who seemed happily married, decided to go their separate ways. Reba McEntire is a successful country music star and actress. As for her love life, she married her manager at the time, Narvel Blackstock, back in 1989. They had a beautiful ceremony, holding an intimate, private wedding in Lake Tahoe.
Blackstock married McEntire with three children from a previous marriage, but the pair now have one son together. After 26 years of marriage, the pair announced their separation in 2015, to the great shock of the country music community and fanbase. Fun trivia: did you know McEntire’s stepson Brandon is married to music sensation Kelly Clarkson?
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert
Since Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, these two were definitely the most beloved country music couple. The petite blonde powerhouse and the goofy cowboy-boot-wearing lank seemed to be a charming couple. Until 2015, that is, when a scandal revealed they were getting a divorce. Apparently, there was a lot of disagreement between the two on starting a family.
The infamous drama came about when Shelton was allegedly discovered cheating on Miranda with The Voice co-judge, Gwen Stefani. After the scandal went nationwide, the pair quickly got a divorce, and Shelton has been with Stefani ever since.
George Strait and Norma Strait
Widely acknowledged as one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time, George Strait has garnered a staggering 61 No.1 songs on all country charts, having more No.1 hits than any other recording artist. Also, he’s had 13 multi-platinum and 33 platinum albums. When it came to love, Strait knew what he wanted. He eloped with his high-school sweetheart, Norma, with the pair marrying in Mexico in December of 1971.
That very same year he’d enlisted in the U.S. Army, and actually started performing with a U.S. Army-sponsored band, “Rambling Country.” His wife gave birth to a daughter soon after. The now 67-year-old is still going strong, and along with his musical ventures, he adds a number of country-themed films to his belt, such as Pure Country and Grand Champion.
Toby Keith Covel and Tricia Covel
Married to his long-time love Tricia Lucus, next up is Toby Keith Covel. Now, this pair has a pretty cute story – they met in a nightclub in Oklahoma in 1981, when Toby was 20 and Tricia just 19. Three years later, the pair tied the knot and have been happily married ever since!
They have three children together: Shelley, who was actually adopted the year the couple was wed, and two other children: Krystal and son, Stelen. Covel is actually a grandfather now too, with his adopted daughter Shelley having two kids of her own!
Kenny Rogers and Wanda Miller
To be performing at 78 years old is impressive enough, but not so hard to believe when it comes to legendary country singer, Kenny Rogers. It’s not been an easy road for Rogers – but the hard work has clearly paid off since he is now a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. As for his love life, he's been married a staggering five times!
However, his current wife, Wanda Miller, seems to be the one that will last. Married in 1997, the pair have been together for over twenty years, and have had two children together.
Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook
Members of the iconic country group Little Big Town, next on our list is the beloved couple, Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook. The band describes itself as “one big marriage”, and this is particularly fitting for Karen and Jimi. However, when the band formed in 1998, Karen was actually married to her first husband. A few years later, they divorced, and Karen and Jimi started dating.
They walked down the aisle in May 2006, having a very low-key, intimate wedding. Their relationship has always been hush-hush, and we don’t blame them – for people used to the spotlight, surely it’s nice to be able to have some privacy. The couple has a son together, Elijah.
Jake and Lacey Owen
After three years of marriage, this pair surprised adoring fans by parting ways. But before we get to that, let us introduce Jake Owen first. A country music singer who quickly rose to fame after touring with greats such as Little Big Town, Sugarland, Keith Urban, and more, Jake's been hot property for a while now. But even hotter still was his wife to be – Lacey Buchanan. The model caught Jake's eye during a music video shoot.
In a very romantic move, Owen proposed onstage during one of his concerts in 2012. The very next month, the pair tied the knot in Vero Beach, Florida. Just months later, the pair welcomed their first child – Olive Pearl, on November 2012. But it seems that the couple had issues brewing under the surface of what seemed like an idyllic marriage, deciding to part ways in August 2015.
Chris Carmack and Erin Slaver
Chris Carmack is up next on our list! Best known for appearing in cult TV series, The O.C, as Luke Was, as well as on Grey’s Anatomy, this actor is actually quite talented as a musician. Perhaps his role as Will Lexington on Nashville prompted him to give country music a go.
He released an EP titled Pieces of You in 2015, and while his career was taking off, he decided to propose to his girlfriend, fiddle player Erin Slaver. Around the same time, this gorgeous couple announced that Erin was pregnant, giving birth to a baby girl in August of 2016!
Eric Church and Katherine Blasingame
Married since 2008, Eric Church and Katherine Blasingame are another sweet country couple that’s made our list of notables. Church is a talented country-music singer and very much a family man. Blasingame is actually a music publisher – so that takes the guesswork out of how these two initially crossed paths. It was just meant to be, it seems!
Walking down the aisle in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, guests (and his now-wife Katherine) were treated to a serenade – Church sang his song “You Make It Look So Easy,” which he wrote for his Katherine specifically. This lovely couple has two gorgeous sons together. They settled down in Nashville, Tennessee.
Loreta and Oliver Lynn
With a career spanning over 60 years, this woman is a country music legend. Born into a family who was all about country music, Loretta Lynn became one of the most groundbreaking female artists in the industry. She started out as a teenager, and being extremely mature for her age, at 15 years old she married Oliver Vanetta “Doolittle” Lynn.
They’d met just a month earlier. Since then, her career has shot to stardom, garnering praise and acclaim all over the world. Married for over fifty years, the pair had six children together, with three of them born before her 20th birthday! In 1996, her spouse Oliver passed away, five days before his 70th birthday,
Josh Turner and Jennifer Ford
The same year he signed his deal with Nashville Records, Josh Turner also released his debut album, Long Black Train. 2003 was just the beginning for the country and gospel singer and actor – upon releasing his second album, 'Your Man', Joshua Otis Turner scored two number-one hits! Being a devout Christian, Turner often refers to his great faith in his songs.
As for his wife, well, he and Jennifer Ford met at Belmont University, where they were both studying at the time. The same year he released his debut album, he also wed Ford! She too has a part in his music career, playing keyboard and singing background vocals while he’s on tour. The couple has four sons together, and are enjoying wedded bliss.
Alison Krauss and Pat Bergeson
Most recently, the talented voice of bluegrass music said in an interview that she’s in a hurry to get married again – focusing on her music and her son with former lover, Pat Bergeson. In 1997, she was proposed to by her then-boyfriend, and despite her shock, she accepted. The pair wed privately in the same year. Two years into the marriage, Krauss gave birth to a son.
She’s known for her somewhat conservative parenting methods – apparently denying Sam television at age two, thinking it to be over-stimulating. However, the pair divorced in 2001 and went their separate ways. The winner of 27 Grammy Awards, this gifted and accomplished musician has given us a lot of amazing music, and will continue to do so!
Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge
It's only fitting that Kris Kristofferson makes our list. The now 83-year-old renowned country singer is a proud inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and is known for his part in the country supergroup, The Highwaymen, as well as for winning a Golden Globe Award for his performance in A Star is Born!
Before his career in music, Kristofferson was a military man – quite a change from being out in the field, right? Kris Kristofferson has eight children from his three marriages – Fran Beer, Rita Coolidge (another successful singer, though this lasted only 7 years), and finally his third wife, Lisa Meyers. He seems pretty chuffed with Lisa, and we wish them all the best!
Travis Tritt and Theresa Nelson
Another great love story is that of famous country music bad boy, Travis Tritt. He has won two Grammy Awards, had seven platinum-certified albums and one triple-platinum album. During his early years, Tritt had a rough start to life. In the early 80s, he married his childhood sweetheart, but it wasn’t meant to be. He then married Jodi Barnett, a woman over a decade older than him, but this too, ended in divorce.
They say third time’s a charm – and in 1997, fans were skeptical about how long his third marriage to Theresa Nelson would last. The Nashville-based student and model was certainly swept off her feet by the “rowdy, outlaw, hell-bent-for-leather guy.” It seems that it worked out for him this time around – the pair have three children together and are still happily married!
Charlie and Hazel Daniels
Now, we’re going to dive straight into the love story here – this pair has been together for over 50 years! Charlie met his Hazel pretty early on, and the pair were wed in September 1964. They have one son together, Charlie Daniels, Jr. The American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is a testament to what country music should be. He’s best known for his number one hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, as well as for his contributions to country and bluegrass music.
It’s pretty amazing that he’s 82 years old – and just a couple of years ago he was entered into the Country Music Hall of Fame (about time, right?) He’s had a pretty amazing career, collaborating with music legend Bob Dylan, and winning a Grammy Award. Despite some health issues, Hazel has stuck through thick and thin with Daniels, and they’re inseparable.
Tanya Tucker and Ben Reed
Who can forget “Delta Dawn” – the teen star’s debut single in 1972? At just thirteen years of age, Tanya Denise Tucker stepped out onto the world’s stage and became one of the few child entertainers to maintain and build her success into adulthood, while never losing her audience. Despite her success, the now 60-year-old has had a bit of a rough ride with relationships. But it was her short relationship with actor Ben Reed that led to her two children.
However, the pair split up. Fast forward a few years, and Tucker was having an on-again, off-again relationship with Nashville musician, Jerry Laseter. They were engaged twice and were just about to walk down the aisle when she discovered she was pregnant with his child. She called off the wedding because she didn’t want to walk down in her wedding dress while pregnant.
Glen Campbell and Kimberly Woollen
The much-loved country music artist Glen Campbell had an epic career, spanning 50 years. Sadly, Campbell passed away in August of 2017, losing his battle to Alzheimer’s disease. The Arkansas-born singer is best known for his hits throughout the 60s and 70s, as well as for hosting the music and comedy variety show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. Having sold over 45 million records worldwide, Campbell will forever be remembered as a legend of the industry.
His love life was somewhat more complex, having been married four times. However, his fourth wife, Kimberley Woollen, seemed to stand the test of time, tying the knot in 1982, and remaining married up until his passing. Within the four marriages, Campbell fathered eight children, with his daughter Ashley Campbell going on to follow in his father’s footsteps as a country musician. That’s a nice tribute.
Kacey Musgraves and Ruston Kelly
Kacey Musgraves made a name for herself with a stunning debut album in Golden Hour. The singer-songwriter has won six Grammys, four CMA Awards and three Academy of Country Music Awards. She’s gone on to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the business, like Dierks Bentle. Musgraves is married to fellow singer-songwriter, Ruston Kelly.
They’ve got a pretty cute love story too – the pair met at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, where Kacey heard him play. She introduced herself and the two organized to do some songwriting together. The pair got married in October 2017. “It was just like when Dorothy opens a door in the Wizard of Oz, and the world turns into color from black and white", said Musgraves.
Randy Travis and Mary Davis
With a long career beginning in 1978, Randy Travis recorded 20 studio albums, as well as charting over 50 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. There’s no doubt he’s very successful, but his love life is another matter. The 60-year-old has been married twice, first divorcing his wife Lib Hatcher, of 19 years, as well as ending their business relationship.
He remarried in 2015, tying the knot with Mary Davis. It was rather scandalous for Travis, as he allegedly was caught cheating with Mary, who was his dentist at the time!
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher
The drop-dead gorgeous blonde bombshell is perhaps the most recognizable female country singer in the world. With her strong but sweet voice, the former American Idol winner has gone from strength to strength. As for the lucky man in her life, Underwood is married to NHL player, Mike Fisher.
Clearly, Fisher had a bit of a crush and met the beautiful Carrie backstage at one of her concerts, in 2008. They were engaged just a year later! The pair tied the knot in 2010 in Georgia, and in 2015, announced the arrival of their first child – Isaiah Michael.
Alan and Denise Jackson
Now, this is one for the books! This pair met back in high school and stuck it through thick and thin. They married in 1979, and six years later, they moved to Nashville to pursue Alan’s dream. Denise, however, was the rock who held fast and helped him get his start in country music.
At the time, she was working as a flight attendant and met Glen Campbell, who took an interest in Denise’s musically ambitious husband – as a result, the country legend helped Alan to land a record deal with Arista Records. Fast forward and the couple have three daughters. But eventually, an affair on Alan’s part shook the relationship. They separated, but amazingly got back together, and have stuck by each other ever since.
RaeLynn and Joshua Davis
This 25-year-old country music starlet is up there with the Madonnas of the world. Born Racheal Lyn Woodward, she’s famous for being a contestant on The Voice in 2012. The singing competition saw her proceed to the quarter-finals, before being eliminated. However, she then signed on with Republic Nashville.
Her debut album was released in early 2017, peaking on the US Country chart at Number One. Set to release more in the future, RaeLynn has a lot ahead of her. When it comes to her love life, it was certainly smoother sailing, becoming engaged in October 2015 to her boyfriend Josh Davis, and marrying in February of the following year.
Justin Moore and Kate Moore
Country singer-songwriter Justin Moore is no stranger to the guitar or the stage. It was only natural for him to then join his uncle’s Southern rock band and move to the country music capital, Nashville, in Tennessee. Signing with Valory Music Group in 2008, he’s slowly but surely worked his way up. On a personal note, Moore married his girlfriend, Kate Gales, in 2007.
The pair met as teenagers, and from then on, there was something that neither one could let go of! And in a cute twist, the same day he said “I do”, the country singer was signed with Big Machine Label Group. Rumour has it his manager waltzed on up just before the pair cut their wedding cake and said: “Sign this right now!”
Jay DeMarcus and Allison DeMarcus
American bassist, vocalist, pianist, record producer and songwriter, Jay DeMarcus is pretty well accomplished! Best known for being a member of the country-pop group Rascal Flats, DeMarcus is also quite the advocate for Christian music. He’s also pretty talented too – did you know he’s been awarded a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame? As for his love life? Well, this country music man is married to former beauty queen and Miss Tennessee, Allison Alderson.
Crowned twice, Alderson must also be twice as nice! The pair actually met on set during the Rascal Flatts music video for “These Days.” Since that meeting, the pair married and now have two kids together!
Lee Brice and Sara Reeveley
Born Kenneth Mobley Brice, Jr., it’s no wonder that tongue twister was shortened to the more palatable “Lee Brice.” Shots aside, Brice is quite successful in the country music scene and is a talented singer-songwriter. Signed to Curb Records, Brice has released four albums, including “Love Like Crazy”, the album which smashed records: did you know it had the longest-run on a country chart and broke a 62-year-old record?! That’s no mean feat! Not to mention the fact that eleven of his released singles charted, with some reaching number one on Billboard Hot Country Songs.
As we mentioned earlier, Brice is good with penning lyrics and writing songs too – he’s co-written for hard-hitters like Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and Adam Gregory. As for his partner: well, in 2013, Brice tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Sara Reeveley. The couple has three kids together, and we’re sure those kids are “loved like crazy!”
Zac Brown and Shelly Brown
The frontman of the Georgia-based country band, The Zac Brown Band, Brown is a bit of a legend when it comes to his vocals and guitar. The seven-piece band is known for their use of the fiddle, banjo, ukulele and even a mandolin on occasion. The band has been quite successful, releasing six albums and having sixteen singles make the country music charts!
Brown is happily married to his wife Shelly, with the pair tying the knot just over ten years ago. The couple has a pretty large family too, with five kids – but with such a successful career, we’re sure he and his wife have no trouble raising them!
Willie Nelson and Annie D’Angelo
Legend alert! Mr. Willie Nelson has to be one of the best-recognized Americans, ever. A living icon, this country music star has successfully crossed over into acting, songwriting, writing, and activism over his long, star-studded career. It seems that his love life has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, so much so that it perhaps even rivals his career milestones.
Having married four times, Nelson has fathered seven children. Martha Matthews, Shirley Collie, Connie Koepke and Annie D’Angelo have all had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Nelson. We feel a bit bad for Shirley Collie – he fathered a child with Connie Koepke while still married to Collie. Anyway, at 86, we think he’s had enough of getting divorced and remarried – and the winner is… Annie D’Angelo!
Charles Kelley and Cassie Kelley
Founding member of the gorgeous country music trio Lady Antebellum, next up on our list of country music stars is Charles Kelley. Born in Augusta, Georgia, the now 37-year-old is, of course, best known for his part in the trio. Fun fact: Lady Antebellum got their name from Dave Haywood’s suggestion that the word ‘antebellum’ which is derived from a word meaning “before the war” – and eventually they came up with Lady Antebellum!
Anyway, back to Charles – he wed music rep Cassie McConnell in a Nashville courthouse on June 2009, before flying off to the Bahamas for a destination wedding. Now, that’s pretty sweet. The couple has a son together – Ward Charles Kelley. We’ve got a feeling he too might be in the biz one day.
Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley
A singer-songwriter, Brad Paisley debuted with the album “Who Needs Pictures” in 1999, proving a great success. Recently nominated for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame for 2019, Paisley certainly has enjoyed success over the course of his twenty-year career. As for his love life, that’s quite well documented too! After seeing her performance in Father of the Bride, Paisley was absolutely smitten with actress Kimberly Williams.
Their relationship began in 2001, and after a cameo in his music video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song).” Things clearly went swimmingly well for the pair, with the couple getting married just two years later, at Stauffer Chapel, the on-campus chapel at Pepperdine University, California. Happily married, their family grew to include two sons, William Huckleberry, and Jasper Warren. Too cute!
Dolly Parton and Carl Dean
The queen of country music has had one very special man all her life, and that is Carl Dean. For 53 years this couple has stuck through thick and thin. What's the secret to this unbreakable bond? Well, it seems to be the fact that they lead completely different lives. The ten-time Grammy Award winner, winner of ten Country Music Association Awards and much, much more has clearly been busy making some of the most beloved country songs for decades. Carl on the other hand, a businessman, has been in his world and completely out of the spotlight.
The two met a laundromat in 1964 and experienced what could only be described as love at first sight. Two years later they were hitched and have been going strong ever since. Dolly credits her crazy touring schedule over the years claiming that that has been the key to their successful marriage. "I always say 'Stay gone!' and there's a lot of truth to that. I travel a lot, but we really enjoy each other when we're together and the little things we do."
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
Miley may have crossed over into the pop genre, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and god-daughter to Dolly Parton, she sure has her roots in the country. The multiple-time Grammy Award winner is considered to be one of the most successful entertainers in the industry. She has, of course, starred in her fair share of films, not to mention her hit TV series as a kid, Hannah Montanna. That all aside, she also bagged herself one of the hunkiest actors in Hollywood, Liam Hemsworth.
The two met on the set of The Last Song in 2008. After a few sparkling appearances on the red carpet, the two got engaged in 2012. But then for the next couple years, Miley went on her bender and partied it up like nobody's business. It seemed like it was over but fortunately, the two rekindled their love and they finally tied the knot in 2018. Unfortunately, it hurts us to tell you that it doesn't quite end there. At the beginning of 2020, the too filed for divorce. But who knows? With their history, anything is possible.
Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus
We may as well stay in the Cyrus family while we're at it. The man who brought us one of the most iconic country songs of all time, "My Achy Break Heart" is definitely no stranger to affairs of the heart. Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish have been together for 25 years. Make no mistake, they've hit rocky times, but for the most part, they have and still are, keeping their marriage rock-solid. The couple shares five kids together including the mega-famous, Miley Cyrus, of course.
According to an interview for Fox News, Tish said that it really just comes down to communication and dedication, which she admits, "I'm not very good at." They must be getting something right!
Ty Herndon and Matt Collum
Ty Herndon, the famous country singer behind the hit "What Mattered Most", definitely knows what matters most now. After two marriages with two different women, Herndon finally understood that his perfect woman actually came in the form of a perfect man. Luckily he found him and in 2014, the country singer came out and made his first appearance with his now long-term boyfriend, Matt Collum. In fact, the singer even boldly re-released the hit song using male pronouns!
This has now made him one of the leading figures in Nashville's LGBTQ community. The couple, who are still devout Christians don't believe that they should have any issues reconciling their faith with their orientation, saying that “we get to choose who we love, and that includes God, and He loves us back.” While they may not be currently married, there have been some serious talks.
Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich
The multi-talented Dancing with the Stars champion and Emmy nominee has had a pretty solid career in country music too. Hough, who has worked with the country greats like Reba McEntire, Eddie Rabbit, and Brad Paisley had the number one country album in 2008. Lord knows how she did it, but somehow she made the leap to the world of hockey and met her beau, NHL player Brooks Laich. According to US Weekly, it was her DWTS costar Teddy Sears who introduced them.
A few dates in the two both seemed to pretty hooked on another. So much so that two years late, by July 2017, they were married. Things seemed rosy for some time but this year, it looked like things may have taken a turn. Cross your fingers, we hope they make it through!
Shane McAnally and Michael Baum
Nobody can pen a hit country love song like Shane McAnally. He has written and produced for all the greats including Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, and much, much more. That's why it's no surprise that he is one half of the beautiful romantic union with the handsome Michael Baum. The couple married after five wonderful years of courtship in the year 2017 by the Mayor of Nashville, Mayor Megan Barry.
The singer-songwriter continues to produce some of his finest work while sharing a beautiful life with his supportive hubby in their hometown of Nashville. Recently they welcomed a son and a daughter to their loving home.
Gabi Dugal and Scotty McCreery
The 2011 American Idol Scotty McCreery has released albums that have gone both gold and platinum. Looks like he's just as lucky in the love department. The baritone crooner tied the knot with his high-school sweetheart Gabi Dugal. The two have known each other since kindergarten, so you know this is real. Even with that life-long connection, they waited six years until they were ready to take that leap.
The ceremony took place on June 16th, 2018 in the beautiful North Carolina. After the wedding, McCreery released a music video for the song “This Is It.” The extremely moving video was made actually from the footage of the wedding. You'll know from that music video that those two are in it for the long haul.
Tyler Hubbard and Hayley Hubbard (Strommel)
You may know Tyler Hubbard as one half of the super successful 'bro-country' duo Florida Georgia Line. He along with fellow county singer Brian Kelley have brought you their fair share of hits such as "Cruise" and "Get Your Shine On." Off-stage, however, his better half goes by the name of Haley Stommel Hubbard. The couple exchanged vows on July 1, 2015, in Hayley's hometown and have been happily married ever since. The country duo even recently featured their wives in their recent music video. It's safe to say that the pioneers of the genre "bro-country", have found their special ladies.
Thanks to Hayley's flexible work schedule, the two get to travel together on the band's tours. Recently the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary and in 2017, they welcomed their first child, Olivia Rose, into the world on December 23, 2017.
Brandi Carlile and Catherine Shepherd
Brandi Carlile, the lead singer of the country group, the Highwomen that consists of Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby has also found her special someone. The music veteran met the love of her life through her philanthropic activities in the organization called Fight the Fear, an initiative that helps protect women in abusive and violent situations. Carlile found herself e-mailing Catherine Shepherd, one of the organizers, and after a year of back and forth communication, began to feel a connection.
It was only a year later where they officially met in person. It was clear for both of them that from that first meeting they had stumbled onto something quite unique. They were engaged in 2012 and married that same year. The couple now has two daughters, Evangeline and Elijah.
Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker
The country-pop singer Jessie James Decker behind the hit song"Gypsy Girl" has had a roller-coaster of a music career. After being rejected by most of the Nashville based country labels, she eventually founds success with Mercury Records. Just a few years later, the country singer found love in the (big and muscular) arms of the former NFL player Eric Decker after a mutual friend connected them. What took place was yet another interesting long-distance online relationship. The two texted for about a month before meeting face to face when Eric visited her in Nashville.
Needless to say, by 2013, they were married. They now have three children together and reside in their beautiful Nashville home. Eric has since retired from the game making him a full-time dad.
Ashley Monroe and John Danks
Another country singer and athlete duo we have here. These types seem to mesh quite well. The singer-songwriter and Tennessee native, Ashley Monroe reached the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with her songs "Satisfied" and "I Don't Want To" in the year 2007. After a nice ride on the success wave, she was "satisfied" to say the least. There was something that was missing, however, and that was a little bit of love.
Of course, when Mr. Danks came into her life, it was a home run. The Chicago White Sox pitcher was instantly smitten when he was introduced to her through a mutual friend, an owner of Chicago based bar. They totally hit it off and got married in 2013. In 2018, they welcomed their third baby boy, Forrest Bradley.
Luke Combs and Nicole Hocking
Luke Combs has brought us some great country hits like "Hurricane", "When It Rains It Pours", "One Number Away" and more importantly, the song that was inspired by his relationship with Nicole Hocking, “Beautiful Crazy.” The North Carolina native has been in this 'beautiful crazy' love affair since 2016 when he met her a music festival in Florida. Just two years later, Combs got down on one knee in Nicole's kitchen in her Nashville home.
In an Instagram post, Nicole went public with the engagement during their Hawaii getaway, captioning the picture with the cute statement saying “you’re stuck with me forever!! love you so, sooo much babe.” The couple is currently in the midst of wedding plans so we will surely be hearing those bells pretty soon.
Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd
Here we have a country music couple, finally! These artists, Marren Morris and Ryan Hurd may have only been together for two years but they have become the genre's most adored couple. The singers met in...you guessed it... in the Nashville music scene when they were both young and upcoming songwriters. Starting out as friends, slowly transitioning to collaborators, and eventually moving to romantic partners was a beautiful thing to witness and even inspired Hurd's hit song "Love in a Bar."
Just a day before their second anniversary, the couple welcome their new-born baby boy, Hayes Andrew Hurd. Here's to many more.
Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs
The ever bubbly and loveable country bell, Kellie Pickler has been one busy lady. The American Idol alum has released 3 albums and a single since her time on the show, won season 16 of Dancing with the Stars, stars on a popular talk show with Ben Aaron called, Pickler and Ben, and just hosted the CMA Awards red carpet. And that's just her working life! The country singer is also just as busy in personal life, loving up to her husband Kyle Jacobs.
The couple even had their own reality series for some time called I Love Kellie Pickler. The show revolved around their goofy love-life and all their little adventures. There have been talks of kids in the future but for now, they are parents to two lovely dogs.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock
When two music greats join forces, you know there's something special there. What can be said for each of these amazing talents? Kelly, the first-ever winner of American Idol has led an illustrious career in entertainment as a singer and TV personality (The Voice and The Kelly Clarkson Show.) Brandon, on the other hand, has had his success in the music biz as a successful talent manager. Looks like he has a knack for picking out talent (just like his dad.)
The two met years when Clarkson was working with the Rascal Flatts and Brandon was the band's manager. For quite a few years the two remained good friends. Slowly they got a little closer, but it wasn't until six years later that things took a romantic turn. After a year of a real relationship, Brandon popped the question and by October 20, 2013, they were married at the Blackberry Farms in Walland, Tennessee. The couple now have four kids together, two of their own, and another two from Brandon's previous marriage.
Jon Pardi and Summer Duncan
The alternative country singer Jon Pardi is about to walk down the aisle with his soon to be wife, the lovely Summer Duncan. The two were matched up by Jon's mother! She organized a 'casual meet-up' at one of Pardi's shows in Denver Colorado. Clearly mom knows best because these two hit it off immediately. Just a couple months after dropping his album, Heartache Medication the country singer decided to make a bold move.
During the Ryman Auditorium show, Pardi got down on one knee and proposed, naturally, it was a yes and the beautiful moment prompted a standing ovation. The wedding is set for May 2020 in Montana.
Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell
The frontman of the Chris Lane Band was one of the most sought-after bachelors in country music, so it's only natural that he would find his very own perfect bachelorette, Lauren Bushnell. Bushnell happened to the winner of season 20 of The Bachelor. The show ended with Ben Higgins picking Lauren to be his wife. Fortunately for Chris Lane, that relationship crashed and burned and he ended up snatching Lauren for himself. Complicated much? Well, love is a complex thing, but it definitely all worked out in the end.
Lane and Bushnell met at an Austin radio event in 2015. While they started out in a tricky long-distance period, their love later blossomed, and in March, they decided to move in together. Lane proposed to the love of his life with a song he wrote titled "Big, Big Plans." In a beautiful Nashville ceremony, the couple tied the knot on October 25, 2019.
Jordan Davis and Kristen O'Connor
This Louisiana born country-pop singer, Jordan Davis is one lucky man. The artist and his wife, Kristen O'Connor welcomed their very first child, a daughter named Eloise Larkin Davis in November 2019. It's been a busy year for the couple. With a new-born baby and Davis's career taking off in a big way, they both have their schedules pretty packed. The country singer has been touring and performing songs from his Home State album.
Davis has said how grateful he is for his wife and her understanding of his passion for music. Looks like these days Kristen's at home with the baby holding down the fort while Davis is on the road.
Kimberly Perry and J.P. Arencibia
These two might be in the process of a divorce right now, but let's not forget about their once beautiful marriage. The country songbird Kimberly Perry met her former MLB player J.P. Arencibia through a friend in 2012. Apparently J.P. was pretty smitten after seeing Perry's music video for the song “If I Die Young.” Sparks flew and in 2014 they were married. The guest attendance was star-studded with folks like Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, and Miranda Lambert.
Unfortunately, things got a little ugly when rumors of J.P. cheating ran wild. As a result of this, sadly, the couple didn't quite make it. The couple filed for divorce in 2018. Hopefully, they will both heal from this.
